Greens just aerated
Course was very wet so cart path only. That really slowed the pace of play. Greens had just been aerated and top dressed with sand, so putting was impossible. Rates seemed to have been adjusted, so round was still worth the price.
Great round at Bear Trap given the time of the year
Had a great round at Bear Trap. The course was in very good condition given the fact that it is late February in DE. It was cartpath only which can and was annoying but understandable. But the course was in fact pretty dry. Not crowded which is unusual for this course. But it is Feb 23 after all.
Another enjoyable round at Bear Trap
Course was in great shape for this time of the year. Greens were punched but that is not uncommon. Pace of play was very good. Kind of cold and windy but unfortunately Bear Trap can’t control that. Great value!
Did Not Finish
Pace of play was to slow to finish 18 holes before darkness set in . Tee time was 1:03 pm. Bar and pub was reserved for a trivia contest and non players were not allowed in the bar.
Bear Trap
Nice course but they had aerated the greens so slow and bumpy but it is off season so to be expected
Lovely course
Great course with no two holes alike and lots of interesting greens. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Very Cold but beautiful
We played in late November, hi 30's with a very stiff, constant wind. Only two tee box options and the greens were punched, but you could still see how this place must be good during better weather.
Look forward to getting to play it again when are back in the summer.
Great staff
I need to give Eric Mson and Brooks Ward a "thumbs-up" for a very positiver customer experience. Eric came out of his office to help my partner and I with our Troon points (never an easy task without a prior written approoval). And Brooks for rearranging the tee sheet to allow my partner and I to play as a towsome (my partner recovering from an operation monts ago -- his first time out since the procedure).
Even though a windy day and cart path only -- the course is in great shape in such a nice community. When in area, add Bear Trap to your list of courses to play.
Also, compliments to the Starter (very polite) and for the nice lady working the Snack Bar.
Good deal
We play here regularly and the course is generally well maintained and with 36 holes offers nice variety. We had some pace of play issues in the past but the starter today was very on top of it and did his best to route us to improve the pace. Much appreciated and it was just over 4 hours despite some waits not too bad for our twosome. Staff is friendly, greens were quite fast and true and the conditions were good. For $55 on GN it was a very good value for the money
Great course from start to finish
Played after a heavy rains and the course was great. A+ drainage. Great staff, great pace of play. Will be back.
great course however...
Let me first say that I really enjoy playing Bear Trap. The course was in great shape and I enjoy how hoe the course is managed. with the 3 different 9's, it doesn't get boring. But now on to the not so nice part. There were a bunch of knuckleheads out on the course playing loud music and screaming nonstop. I heard they were part of a Bachelor Party. They made the back nine unenjoyable as they were playing side by side from us. There should have been rangers out on the course to curb this inconsiderate behavior. And I heard this from other foursomes. In hindsight, I should have called the Pro Shop and asked them to send someone out to shut it down. It definitely hindered out ability to enjoy our back nine.
Nova Golf
Split pairings 2nd group tee time 18 minutes behind and finished 1 1/2 hours behind
This golf course offers 27 holes!
First time playing this golf course and I was impressed. This course is a 27 hole course made up of three 9 holes called Black, Grizzly, And Kodiak. The staff was friendly and helpful from the time we got there to the time we left. The warm up areas were great with a nice driving range, chipping area, and putting green to get you started. The course was a little wet early but once the sun came out everything dried up. The golf course seemed to be maintained pretty well. The snack bar had a nice variety of food and drinks. Only downside was that I wish we had the options to select on GolfNow which 18 holes we were going to be playing. As well as a option on GolfNow to select 27 holes.
