The Kodiak and the Grizzly Nine
Course was in excellent condition. Greens held nicely and were rolling smooth and consistent. Starter was helpful and accommodating.
Course conditions are terrible!
We were on a golf trip and this was our last course. We played at 2:00 pm on a sunday. They charges us $160 but the conditions were horrific. Lots of bare spots in the fairways and greens. The sand traps had grass growing in them. Our group of (8) country club members were very, very dissapointed. Then when we were done, the clubhouse was closing so we could not have drinks to review our bets and no food. We had played Plantation Lakes Golf & CCC the day beofre and that was only $100 and far better conditions. We will NOT play this course agian, eventhough they are promoting the Troon Group stay away!
Incredible pace
Played this as a single on a Friday morning at 7am. Finished in 2.5 hours (played through two groups of 4). Course was in great condition and the starter was helpful to get going for my first time.
Beautiful Course to Play
This is a scenic course with plenty of challenges for talented (and less-so) golfers. Water hazards, strategically placed bunkers, and quite a few hidden greens make this a course that requires an honest assessment of one's skills. Well-maintained with a friendly staff. The best public course in the area.
Beautiful front 9 (Black Bear) great layout, well maintained conditions. I’ll play again.
Bear Trap Dunes
I wish we had known the entire course was cartpath only before we booked. It made the round very long, and our group still can’t figure out why it was cartpath only. There is no GPS on the carts, so unless you have an app or GPS Finder, it was difficult to tell distances. The staff was very friendly and the course was in decent shape considering it’s seeing a lot of playtime this summer.
Best experience
I wish I could give the staff a higher rating 5 star does not do it justice. This course should be 5star all around on every golf page. I played 18 in just under 3 hrs including stopping after 9. Course is wide open makeing difficulty fairly mid level however greens were the trickiest I’ve ever played in the best possible way. Overall I would play here every day if possible.
Beautiful Course
Inside of a community. A little hard to navigate for the first time there. Had to locate where to pay, where to start and where the back nine was. Pace of play was slow due to a twosome in front of us and after notifying the Ranger, nothing was corrected and slowed even more. Course wasn’t super long holes and provided a nice mix of distances and a fair share of challenges of figuring out hole direction and pin placement. Overall it was a beautiful course and I would definitely recommend it. Would love to play again.
Loved it!
We had a great experience at BTD! Easy access, friendly staff, beautiful course conditions, and challenging layout. Highly recommend!
