Jewel of a course
If this is what the course is at winter, can't wait to see it end of spring. Course is in great condition for the time of year. Person in the pro shop gave me excellent advice on playing the course. I even managed to follow it on several holes. Greens were fairly quick and punished errant downhill putts. Layout provides lots of places to challenge you, while also offering many risk/reward choices.
Course conditiin
Course lay out and price are good but fairway and green and bunker condition are bad.
Still Waters
I was able to play for $17 in the middle of January so I’m not too upset about the conditions. I do want to say that the staff was great & friendly. The course conditions were not at their best particularly the greens. The greens were almost unplayable. They were extremely slow and unpredictable. The actual course layout, which at best would be described as a mountain course was not the most enjoyable to play. There were numerous blind shots and many drives were traversing valleys and/or gullies. This is typical of the terrain around lakes in central Alabama. Overall I’d rate this course as a 3 Star course. If the greens were better I’d give it a 4 Star rating.
Great Course
Rated excellent condition for this time of year.. Love the layout. Every hole is secluded. Look forward to playing again.
Great fun
Wow
What a fun place to play
Loved loved loved the layout
Winter conditions today. Cant wait to come back in spring to play
nice outing
Enjoyed the nature and absence of houses on a course.Consistent greens, nice fairways overall, but need real sand in the traps though. I shoot in the 90's and played the blues --made it fun and challenging. Stray from the fairways, ball is lost!
StillWaters
Course is challenging. Greens and fairways in good condition, but several bunkers needed sand/maintenance. Staff friendly and food selection very good.
Good day at StillWaters
Took my son for his 24th birthday. We loved it. I Haven’t played there since he was Born. Great day. Great coarse. Worth it.
