Plan for 6 hour round
Been down this road before!! This was the third time I have tried to finish a round and wound up getting a rain check. The course and facilities are fantastic and would put it up against any course I have played. However, the lack of course marshalls not managing play time makes it very frustrating when you have a 2 oclock tee time "this time of year" and you can't finish the round.
Chilled apples makes the course even more enjoyable
FarmLinks is a clear 5 star golf course. For sure one of the best in Alabama. I played here for the second time. It was worth the drive. All was great. Tee boxes, fairways, greens and even some hazards are terrific. Signature hole is no. 5. Bring your camera and don't forget to taste the chilled apples!
I will always come back to this facility.

A jewel in Alabama
A fantastic course, beautiful views. The course was in great shape-fairways like carpet greens were a little slow but you have to respect the slopes. I played well.

Nice course; must play.
After reading reviews, I booked a tee time with 2 friends and drove from Atlanta to play FarmLinks. It was well worth the drive. A very nice course, in great condition with stunning views (especially par 3's) and friendly staff. Fairways are generous but there are some areas of thick/unforgiving rough that could affect errant shots. Pace of play was somewhat slow because of a struggling foursome in front of us - and we didn't see them repair any ball marks on the greens. Unfortunately we did not see a course marshal. Overall, a great course.

Best Golf Course in the State
This is hands down the best golfing experience I have had! The staff was great! The practice facilities were top notch! The fairways were in perfect condition! The greens were large and in charge! They had chilled apples waiting for us at the beginning of 1 and 10! The holes were beautifully designed! The par 3 5th hole is the best single hole I have ever played! I have nothing bad to say about this course! I will definitely be back and cannot wait until that time comes! Thank you FarmLinks

Worth every penny!!!
One of the best courses in the state. Perfect course conditions it almost looks like your playing on a PGA course. Perfect greens ball mark well and plays at a good speed. Would recommend this course to any and everyone who likes to play golf.

Afternoon has no rules??
Farmlinks was in fantastic shape as always! However, there was a tournament in the morning and we teed off after tournament play. Because of the tourney, they squeezed in too many players for the afternoon! And to top it off, there were NO marshals! Thus, we encountered two different FIVESOMES! Unexpected for a quality course like FL! The result...5 hour round. Disappointed!
Hi Jimgoolsby,
We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your time with us at FarmLinks Golf Club. We apologize that pace of play was not up to par, and we would like to make it up to you. Please reach out to us via email at FarmLinksGolfClub@gmail.com.

A Must Play
This was the best golf experience I have ever had. The course is in incredible condition, it has a few holes that are absolutely breathtaking, and the staff is as friendly as they come. The woman who worked the front desk on the day we went deserves to be complimented because she went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our day. Hole 5 is unbelievable. Make sure you are prepared to spend time taking pictures if it's your first time at the course. I was able to play this course for $3 because of a coupon and a great deal and that may be the best deal in the history of golf because the course was much more enjoyable than Kiva Dunes which I played earlier in the month and paid nearly $100. I ended up spending a good bit in the pro shop because I appreciated the great deal, and they have nice things and good deals on some things sitting outside. You will not regret playing this course. I will be back even if I have to pay the normal $85 price. Bottom line is the course is immaculate, the technology in the carts is top line, the people are extremely friendly, and there are some holes you will never forget. Thanks Pursell Farms for a great experience for my friend and I, and I hope this post is great advertising for you guys because you deserve it.

Farmlinks is a Real Gem
With all the accolades Farmlinks has drawn, I had very high expectations, and I was not disappointed. The conditions are as good as I've ever seen in the Deep South during the mid-summer months. Keep in mind that the temperatures have been above 90 for more than a month now. And yet Farmlinks looked better than most places do in the heart of spring.
Even outside the conditions, the course was great fun to play. The fairways are wide, and the greens are large, but there are more than enough greenside bunkers to keep things interesting. You've also gotta be very careful to hit your levels on the greens, or else three-putting becomes a very real possibility. In short, the course is gettable, but it's not a gimme.
I hope I'm able to make it back very soon.
Hi Captwillard,
We are so pleased to hear that we met your expectations. We take great pride in our course conditions as we know how important they are to a great game. We hope to see you back out on the fairways again soon.

Fantastic
From our arrival greeting by Willie Wycoff to the great condition of the course this was a fantastic golf experience. Look forward to going back!
Great course even in the rain
I played here the first time and it is a great course for beginners and expert. The course is wide open it would be hard to lose a golf ball on most holes, but it's long enough to make it a challenge. The fairways and rough are in great shape I didn't have a bad lie all day, and the greens are very true the role perfect.
The only down side was we never came in for the rain and the weather had cleared just before we made the turn. So when we arrived at number 10 there were 4 groups waiting to tee off on the back, but the Marshall took us to 12 so we didn't have to wait.
This is a definit must play with great practice facilities, good staff, and great course that is very accepting
Golfnow gem
I got a $45 rate through golf now which made this a steal! The standard $85 rate is well worth what you get at this course. The fairways and greens are better than Ross Bridge. Beautiful scenery. Nothing but good things to say.
Best fairways on Earth, fun, scoreable design
Played our annual guys trip here for 5 rounds over the weekend. Lodging is excellent, with very very nice houses fronting the course. Top of the line golf carts are a nice touch, as are free snacks and soft drinks as part of all inclusive package. Service was friendly but extremely slow for meals. That said, the food was best I have ever had at a golf facility. As an agronomic teaching facility, the conditions are World class. The fairways are absolute carpet with perfect lies. Greens excellent (although like many Southeastern courses, they lost their collars, which were being replaced). Tees perfect. We got bombed with thunderstorms twice and the course drained so amazingly well that you couldn't tell it had rained 5 minutes later. My club would've been flooded. The layout is a blast and great for high handicaps and beginners (although advanced players certainly enjoy as well). There are no bunkers or hazards immediately fronting any green except for 5 and 17. This allows players to bounce the ball up with forgiving results. Wonderful experience but they should review their outside alcohol policy. We bought a case of Miller Lite ($50?!?!) for the cabin (to follow the rules), and it was brought to us WARM, which kind of defeats the purpose. But that was about the only negative. Highly, highly recommend this great facility (practice areas excellent as well).
Saturday Special
Course in Good shape. Did not get paired up with anyone as there was a small issue with the group that was supposed to have an opening. Played through 7 groups, all gentlemen, to get finished. Other than that small issue a great value for that caliber of course.
Simply breathtaking
I have had the pleasure of playing numerous courses in Alabama incl. several RTJ courses. This is the best course by light years as far as greens, fairways, etc... Actually had to feel the grass because it looked and felt like AstroTurf!! For the money, hands down it doesn't get better. Staff is extremely friendly and clubhouse resembles a Cracker Barrel. The best kept greens and fairways, and if you play it once you will be there twice!! Well worth any drive to get there!!' Par 3's very tough due to elevations but that just adds to the fun!
One of the areas best courses.
What a great track, and even better staff. I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.
Beautiful Golf Course
Very much enjoyed playing Farm Links with my brothers. A beautiful course that is fun to play even in wet conditions. Spacious fairways with playable rough. Wonderful par three's. The down home hospitality and quaint location makes Farm Links one of the best courses that I have played.
On the links
It was a great golf course. The greens were in great shape. It was challenging due to length but still able to hit good shots. It was wet due to a lot of rain recently which means cart path only but that protects the course. I enjoyed the day.
Very Pleasing
Very pleasing is the best way to describe this course. Some really scenic holes. and all the holes are spread out to the point they you could never hit in another fairway. The course is on parsell farms, and It is spread over many acres. The green fee may be alittle steep, but other than that I highly recomend playing there.
A Mid 80 Player Review
Worth the hour's drive from B-Ham. When in B-Ham, will be heading back to Farmlinks. RTJ would like to have this in their mix. Front 9 better than back 9....in terms of look and feel. All 18 greens were true. I would say that today's pin placement was more on the easy side. I can see some of them being tougher. Some of the holes remind me of Broken Arrow or Gunter's Landing.....your a mile high hitting toward the green. Overall, a great day!
