Very Pleasing
Very pleasing is the best way to describe this course. Some really scenic holes. and all the holes are spread out to the point they you could never hit in another fairway. The course is on parsell farms, and It is spread over many acres. The green fee may be alittle steep, but other than that I highly recomend playing there.
A Mid 80 Player Review
Worth the hour's drive from B-Ham. When in B-Ham, will be heading back to Farmlinks. RTJ would like to have this in their mix. Front 9 better than back 9....in terms of look and feel. All 18 greens were true. I would say that today's pin placement was more on the easy side. I can see some of them being tougher. Some of the holes remind me of Broken Arrow or Gunter's Landing.....your a mile high hitting toward the green. Overall, a great day!
Great layout and beautiful views
Course has a great layout. Each hole has something a little different than the previous hole. Nice challenge.
Why play anywhere else?
This course is fantastic. The drive thru the property to the course sets up a beautiful day of golf. The range is beautiful and big enough to accommodate 50+ golfers. The course is in great shape. It is a difficult course but fair. I would pay double to play here versus any other course within a day's drive.
Dissapointing
I played here again in a tournament. I was disappointed in the obvious lack of attention paid to the course for a tournament day. The bunkers were hard and packed, with old footprints, and were not raked prior to play for some time. The greens were obviously not mowed in a couple of days, and played very slow and bumpy. Farmlinks has a great reputation, but it was not evident on this tournament day.
Best around!
This was my second time playing here and it was just as majestic as the first. The overall experience here is second to none for a public course. Although the course was soggy from several consecutive days of rain, it was playable, whereas most wouldn't have drained nearly as well. The surrounding landscape and picturesque views are worth the trip. If you're within driving distance, make the trip!
Highly recommend
The great hospitality started from the front gate. The course is beautiful from start to finish. This will be a yearly spot from now on.
One of the top courses in the state
One of my favorite places to play in Alabama. The only reason I didnt give course 5 stars is because it has been raining more than usual and fairways were muddy. The facilities are great, staff is friendly , and it's a very private course off the beaten path. It's a diamond out in the ruff. Farm links is a very secluded course and the best get away for golf and relaxation. The only thing the property lacks is a spa. They could really turn this place into a getaway resort for couples looking for a mini vacation. The practice facilities are second to none as they also use top rated range balls. If they had membership I would definitely join. Farm Links is a must!
Farmlinks Visit
I played in a fourball at Farmlinks and was very fortunate with the weather. The course was in great condition, staff were extremely freindly and accomodating and we all had a great day.
This was my second time playing the course and enjoyed it very much. I would recommend this course to any serious golfer to take up the challenge and enjoy a wonderful course.
Farmlinks
Excellent maintained course. Played solo on a cool December morning. Got around in under 3 hours even with reading the many historic markers explaining the history of the farm land this course was constructed on. Par 3's are incredible, including one drop of 175 feet. These are marked with "plays like" yardage taking into account the changes in elevation and taking the guesswork out of club selection. Very enjoyable.
A Country Man's Paradise
The rumors of this place had me interested from the get go. What man wouldn't want to golf & hunt on the same day? To say this place is special is an understatement. Even their tee markers are pretty cool. They have cabins you can rent out and is perfect for a guys weekend retreat. I highly reccommend giving FarmLinks a try.... be sure to check out the Man Cave, it's a treat.
A MUST PLAY!
FarmLinks is easily one of the best golf courses I have ever seen. Everything about this place is fantastic. The facility itself is very impressive and my favorite hole was #5. This downhill Par 3 is one of the coolest holes in golf. Make sure to take a few pictures here of the view.
Overall, I would recommend FarmLinks to anyone looking for an incredible golf experience. It is simply unbelievable. Will be back many times for some more fun!
Great Course
This was not my first time playing FarmLinks. This course and staff amaze me each and everytime I come out. The course was in great shape and the friendliness of the golf staff is alway outstanding. I recommend FarmLinks to any golfer looking for a great golf course with a little southern hospitality.
A must play
Played October 2013. Got poured on during front 9. Didn't phase us a bit. This is an absolute must play. Highly recommend you experience all this place has to offer including their on-site cabins/lodging. The course conditions were phenomenal, service was great. We now come every Fall to play, and our group is getting bigger each year. Top 3 golf experiences I've ever had.
