Hidden gem
Always love playing at Farmlinks. Got a good deal through Golfnow.
Really enjoyed the day!
Of course anytime you play in the winter you have to allow for those pesky seasonal conditions. Overall the course was in very decent shape unfortunately i played on a day soon after the greens were sanded which definitely impacted the score on a few holes. The dormant tight lies around the green were brutal as was the sand, but moral of that story I should have hit the green and not had to worry about those issues!! Nonetheless, I really liked the course layout, for the most part it was quite forgiving off the tee and there were ‘good’ places to miss on the approach (minus the aforementioned tight lies of course!). I can imagine the greens could be quite challenging on a summer day because of all of the undulations, so I definitely need to come back! Loved the course, would definitely recommend and will play again when I am in the area.
Oh, almost forgot, they have a couple elevated Par 3’s where you will definitely need a device that accounts for elevation change and wind, I think it was #15 that was showing over 200 on the scorecard but played about 140! What a beautiful hole!
Pace of play
The course is the best in the area and the amenities are great. This is the 2nd time that I’ve been there and played well over a 5 hour round. There seems to be zero pace of play enforcement, so don’t tee off after 12 or you may not finish.
Not the experience I expected
For a facility of this caliber to have to do everything was sad....I dropped our bags at the Bag drop or should I say in front of the Club House.....I parked and then proceeded to pay / check in.....only to have to load all of our equipment. My wife was walked away from by 4 staff members ouch not a good first impression. We were told to join another couple Great we love meeting new people drove down to the tee No we wanna play alone we take our time ok......Then only find ourselves being pushed all the way around by the couple....and behind them a 2 some and 3 somes......3 hours and 20 minutes to play 11 holes....btw this place has mud fairways and its cart path only I understand why......But the course is a great $29 track all winter....$75 in the summer unless it takes...6 hours......The pro shop staff was not warm and inviting the ranger only appeared after the cart girl called it in....Sorry at that point the experience was in the dumper......My concern is my time is worth something.....I paid for this experience..... was it worth my $$$$....... sadly not......Its a cool layout but 3 hours and 20 minutes to see 11 holes NOT....We have no clue what the last 7 holes look like.....sadly I may never......
Top public course in recent memory
What a great course. Conditions perfect and staff friendly!
Amazing Day
Farmlinks was in near-perfect condition, awesome layout, true Southern hospitality. We drove over an hour to get there but it was well worth the trip...we really didn't want the round to end!
Farm links
Great layout
All around challenging and fair round of golf
Magnificent Course
This course is truly a pleasure to play! From the incredibly friendly staff to the delectable double cheeseburger, this place is more of an experience than just a round of golf. The tee boxes looked fake they were so perfect! Even though the greens were punched at the first of the month they still rolled true and surprisingly smooth. I will definitely be back and always recommending to friends and clients since the first time I played the course 5 years ago.
Farmlinks
With no marshall to keep people moving groups of 6 and 8 were playing together. Really slowing down the pace of play.
Must play
Farm Links has been on my bucket list for a couple years and really enjoyed my round there.everything was top notch and well worth the greens fees.
