Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa
About Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa
The Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa is perhaps the signature property along the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Not only is the course the newest, longest (8,191 yards) and arguably the best of the 26 courses along the trail, you could say the same for the resort. Located in Hoover, Ross Bridge features a spa, stylish rooms and suites, a magnificent ballroom, indoor and outdoor pools, and several upscale restaurants and bars, including Brock's, The Clubhouse Restaurant and JT's Lounge. The resort is also only a mile away from more RTJ golf at the 54-hole Oxmoor Valley, which includes a short course.Facts

So disappointing to have views like this of a beautiful golf course, only to get greens that are far below sub-par on the Valley course. Photo submitted by BrandonWebb on 06/12/2017

From behind the par-5 12th green. Notice the two distinct fairways. The one on the right really shouldn't be used on purpose. It is more of a bailout for hooks off the tee. Photo submitted by BrandonWebb on 01/26/2017

Great Courses
Played a twosome on second and third day of off-season so we played as fast as we wanted and never had to wait. Courses were beautiful, especially the Ridge Course. Both very challenging. Would suggest you follow their advice and play up one tee from your usual for the first time anyway. Courses were very clean and staff very friendly. Overall great experience. Rubin sandwich in grill worth the money.
Beautiful Course
Spectacular mountain views, Great course conditions, super pace of play. Challenging and intriguing holes. Would definitely play here again.
A must play course if you are within a 100 miles.
Visually spectacular. One of the best for picture takers. Huge mounds everywhere. The course is difficult and can bring you to your knees. Target placement is important from the tees. Greens require carry because of the steep hills around it. Expect lots of pitch and putt. The staff is very friendly.
Best RTJ course but not cheap.
The Ross Bridge is the best RTJ course in my opinion but it is the most expensive. My main complaint about RTJ courses is that the green complexes are too sectioned off so if you are not within 20-25 feet with an approach you would have to go over a large slope to get to the correct level or section. Ross Bridge greens give you the ability to have a reasonable two putt from 40-50 feet if you miss your approach. The elevation changes provide great views and large drops from tee to fairway. Offers a great practice area and ends with a fun finishing hole that makes you think on both the tee and approach shot. The course was in great shape and the greens were very nice considering they are bent andI played it in late
september after a hot and dry summer. Really enjoyed it!
I Love This Place - Heaven must be Like This
This was Heaven to me. We arrived on the course and were the first group to tee off for the day. Simply Beautiful. Every hole was breathtaking. I loved the speed of the greens. The fairways were well manicured. The water was wet. The staff was courteous and kind. Maybe this day all of the stars just alined for me but I had a great day and won all of the money.
Dear Rangr,
We are so glad to hear how much you enjoyed our course! Yes, the greens are quite large and slightly more forgiving than some of the other Trail courses, much to our patrons delight. Thank you for providing feedback, and we hope to see you back at Ross Bridge soon!
