Good not great

This was our first time playing the Links course at the Arizona Biltmore.

The location is good. The holes are mixed, some good and others not. The corse shape is only ok. The greens are decent but the fairways are mixed.

I play d all the way back. A reasonable challenge. My wife played almost all the way up. Good challenge for her as well.

There are a few holes with good views and others with apartment / condo views only.

We enjoyed the bar and lunch.

I doubt I will play the course Rae again.

Great bones

Overall course condition average to good. Nice views and the greens were in great shape. Fairways and approach areas need some work.

Biltmore’s Best

Cart staff provided no assistance to load clubs, direction for first tee, starter or end of round. Course in good shape. I found greens to be small and narrow compared to other local courses. Overall a fair layout, but played other courses I found to be better and a better value.

Most expensive Muni course in Arizona

Biltmore used to be “serviceable,” in the past few years the conditions have just gone totally downhill. I would compare the quality of this course to some of the 10-15 dollar courses on golf now. The tee boxes are very unlevel, greens are worst maintained of any facility in the valley. Get it together biltmore

Great location, OK layout, horrible service, $10 for balls at the worst range ever

This course is in a great location - very centrally located. The layout is pretty good- they are severely space limited so you can't complain too much. There's not a lot of "shot value" here- the bunkering is very typical, and you just hit driver on the majority of holes.

The service is beyond horrible. When you arrive, there's no one to take your clubs- you have to carry then about 100 yards to the cart staging area. Once there, you see about 10 young guys in uniform talking, laughing, and waiting for people to return carts so they can spend 30 seconds cleaning the clubs for (hopefully) a large tip. They do not help with anything ... I heard another visitor complaining "aren't you guys going to help me at all?". Sad.

The small buckets of range balls are $10, and they have mats, though there is some grass that they may have open from time to time. Given the cost of the golf, balls should really be free, IMHO.

They had ZERO water on the course, and don't give you any water bottles at any time. There are drink carts, but the pricing is high- bottles of powerade are $4.

Our round was 5.5 hours, as there are no rangers trying to keep things moving. I think every employee was in the golf shop or hawking tips in the staging area...

Overall it's a pretty decent golf course, but just realize the customer service is beyond horrible, and you're going to have to fend for yourself. It's a bit surprising to see this, as the Biltmore was at one point the premier resort name in Arizona.

Hi there. So sorry to hear about your experience. Due to COVID we do not provide a bag drop attendant at this time. Also due to course policy and COVID we aren’t allowed to touch bags unless requested by the individual. Also as far as coolers of water on the course go we aren’t allowed to have those on the course as well due to COVID and the close proximity to walking paths and other people in the community. Once carts finish our outside staff has to ask if people want there club’s cleaned and taken care of. Usually we only have 2-3 guys in the staging area so I’m not sure where you got the 10 person number. Maybe some of our members talking with the guys? Sorry about the range as well but Monday to Thursday we are on the grass tee and Friday to Sunday we are on mats to try and conserve the grass. Hope this cleared some things up. Any other questions or comments please feel free to contact me. Thank you

Not what it once was.

I played this course over 25 years ago. My memories of that round of golf was much better than the round I played today. The course was reworked last year and my GPS watch was off all day so having some idea of yardage was gone. Some greens were very close to dying out but I need to consider the heat that has been bearing down for several months. There was no water available on the course except through the beverage girl and all ball washers were closed due to COVID-19 which I do not understand how that would protect someone from the pandemic. This being said any day playing golf is a great day the staff we encountered were very helpful.

It feels like a municipal course.

It feels like a municipal course. I’ve played this course since the late 1970s. The Adobe has change some over the years, and not really the better. Distance has been lost. Holes have been put clothes together. Trees have been taken out. We were probably the second group off the tee early in the morning. Nonetheless, the greens were extremely slow. Even putting down hill was a chore to get the ball to the hole. I had to hit a 4-5 foot putt hard to get it to the hole. Tee boxes had not been mowed and tee markers had not been moved from the previous day. Someone needs to light a fire under the butt of the course superintendent. As things are now I don’t see how the resort can take any pride in the Adobe course.

Enjoy the Biltmore

Today's round of golf was fun. I enjoy playing the Biltmore course. It is challenging but not too difficult. I was paired with a couple of guys who welcomed me in the group. This is a beautiful course to play in the middle of the city.

Awful

Calling this a goat track is correct but still an insult to all the indigenous peoples around the globe scratching out a meager living by herding goats. It’s almost unreal that these fairways are lined with multi million dollar homes. Maybe they should mutiny and demand that something be done, like some mowing or edging. I can’t believe I paid $40 in peak summer for this sack of yak excrement. I called the cops and told them I got robbed but they said they receive too many of the same calls about this place to do anything about it. Maybe if the price drops to $10 I’ll consider it again, but only when they get the giant mud puddles cleared from every “fairway”

Played in just over 2 hours

Pace of play really only thing great. Simply layout where you can just pound driver every hole. Greens are tiny, and every pin seemed to be tucked no more than 5 yards from the edge. Condition was fine.
