Another round at Golden Hills
The golf course was in a similar condition as during my last round in it few months ago at a reasonable price. Staff was friendlier this time.
I’ll like play this GC again in the future.
OK Course
The fairways, greens and areas around greens were in excellent shape.
Just lots and lots of bare dirt hills on the course (in areas of play)
Good and Enjoyable First Play
It was our first round of 18 for both of us. We were very pleased with our experience from the time we approached the Pro Shop to leaving. The course and it's condition were very good overall. There were some dirt patches here and there but not bad and mostly out of play.
We had a very enjoyable round of golf and beautiful weather! We recommend Golden Hills Golf Club.
Golden Hills review
Course was in pretty rough shape. Beverage cart stopped at about 3:30pm. Pace of play was pretty good.
Needs to be better
We teed off late due to having to wait for other players to finish golfing to be able to get a cart. The pace of play was insanely slow. We teed off by 2:15 and after ten holes quit because it was so slow and we had no chance to get 18 holes in. The course itself is in marginal condition. The staff was great however. Good people there.
Slow pace of play
Course is ok for the money, but the pace of play was terrible. We quit after 15 holes because we couldn’t take it anymore
Not so good
They need to take better care of course- first off cut and trim weeds, they were horrible. It looks like they have no course superintendent- did not see they were even trying to clean up course. Greens were not half bad. First time playing here since 2019 and nothing has improved. Not excited to play here again. $78.50 per person was not cost effective for this golf course and I don’t mind paying for a good golf course. Good luck and hope you fix the course up. Lots of competition in AZ area.
Too loud for the price
$81 to have dirt roughs, landscapers at hole 1 tee box with there lawnmowers then mid game there was a dude spraying chemicals was by me when I was putting then he sat between the putting green and the next tee box and instead of shutting his tractor off he sat there on his phone like really dude how about you shut that thing off and turn it back on when we are done hitting then on hole 10 there was someone who had a tree cutting service cutting trees in there back yard and finally on hole 9 we had people hitting into us.....I love the greens here and the bunkers are challenging but $81 no way guys, train ur landscapers to be alittle more respectful
Nice course
Good value good shape,it long even from the whites I suggest moving up a tee box.
Really long
Overall a great golf course for the money but plays long so move up a tee box.
Excruciatingly slow and no marshall
Took 3hrs plus just to get through the first 9 holes. We had to skip 2 holes because 3 groups were slowing down the entire course. When we said something at the turn the employee just said “oh we’re sorry”. No one went out and told the groups to pick up pace or let us play through. Super frustrating round. It’s pretty good value for this time of year but that simply shouldn’t happen.
