About Arizona Golf Resort & Event Center

Arizona Golf Resort & Event Center is located in Mesa near Arizona State University and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. This 200-room property features banquet and wedding space and its own 18-hole golf course and practice center. Rooms types range from a studio double at 518 square feet to a three-room Casita King concept over 700 square feet, as well as a 1100-square-foot Presidential Suite. The golf course opened in 1960 and is a traditional design stretching to 6,601 yards by Jack Snyder. In addition to the main pool there are multiple jacuzzis throughout the property.

Still not worth $25

Play the course on a Sunday and they had the audacity to charge almost $100 a player… the bathrooms, look like a crackhouse. There was nothing in the pro shop but overpriced cheap shirts…. Better off skipping this course.

Fool me once!

The course looked nothing like the pictures on the website, to pay $84 plus tax for a course in such horrible condition. I feel like I got robbed, the worst part is that I had friends visiting from out of town and I booked this course for us to play, I was so disappointed with the condition of the course that I felt like I had to keep apologizing during the whole round, I will not be playing this course ever again!

Stick with it

Front 9 pretty dry, but back 9 nice and green. All greens in good shape. Pace of play slow but it’s because you get a good buy. I don’t mind waiting on holes if I get a decent price.

The golf course was in a similar condition as during my last round in it few months ago at a reasonable price. Staff was friendlier this time.

The fairways, greens and areas around greens were in excellent shape.

Good and Enjoyable First Play

It was our first round of 18 for both of us. We were very pleased with our experience from the time we approached the Pro Shop to leaving. The course and it's condition were very good overall. There were some dirt patches here and there but not bad and mostly out of play.

We had a very enjoyable round of golf and beautiful weather! We recommend Golden Hills Golf Club.

Needs to be better

We teed off late due to having to wait for other players to finish golfing to be able to get a cart. The pace of play was insanely slow. We teed off by 2:15 and after ten holes quit because it was so slow and we had no chance to get 18 holes in. The course itself is in marginal condition. The staff was great however. Good people there.
