Arizona Golf Resort & Event Center is located in Mesa near Arizona State University and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. This 200-room property features banquet and wedding space and its own 18-hole golf course and practice center. Rooms types range from a studio double at 518 square feet to a three-room Casita King concept over 700 square feet, as well as a 1100-square-foot Presidential Suite. The golf course opened in 1960 and is a traditional design stretching to 6,601 yards by Jack Snyder. In addition to the main pool there are multiple jacuzzis throughout the property.Facts

Good course. Facilities need a little attention.
I play here a about once a month. The course is in good shape after overseeding and pace of play was reasonable for a Friday afternoon.
The negatives are they seem to have given up on COVID precautions except for the fact no players are allowed in the golf pro shop. You pay through a small window. That is okay and has worked all summer. They have returned rakes to some bunkers but only about half, so it is not clear if you are now to rake the bunkers. Ball washers are back. BUT and. a real concern is there is no soap in any of the restrooms on the course and no paper towels in most. No lights at all in one. So while protecting staff in the pro shop they don’t seem to have much safety concern for players. It was much better all summer. COVID cases are on the rise in Arizona but they are no longer concerned about precautions on the course,.,This will influence my decision to play there again for awhile although i do like the course,

Great Course
I am new to golf and thought this course was great for all to try.

Pace of Play
Course was in somewhat decent condition but the pace of play was really bad as many groups were set back on there tee times putting a strain on having a good day of golf as we barely made it through 18 holes before it got dark despite our 12:29pm tee time.

Fairways
Well now that the course is open not carpath only it's starting to get wet and muddy and a lot of areas but it's not much the courses fault sometimes the players they don't seem to watch where the water is and make large ridges with their carts
But it was slow , the ranger helped

fun course
ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT DURING COVID CONCERNS THIS IS THE ONLY COURSE THAT I KNOW OF THAT CHARGES $25 EXTRA TO RIDE ALONE.

Great Condition, Challenging Course, Fun Place
About my 5th time playing here and course was in nice shape. Greens and winter grass coming in nicely and I really enjoyed my round. Always meet nice people here (played with 3 strangers - who I had a great time with) and the staff were first rate. Pro Shop is still closed due to covid-19 but carts, restrooms, driving range were clean, atmosphere was great. Beverage Cart was well stocked, came by twice during our round and hostess was friendly and fun. Enjoyed playing here and will again.

Recovering nicely
The course just began allowing carts going 90*. The grass is coming in nicely and the greens are in good condition. There is no roll because of all the watering but you just have to take one more club than you normally use. The 3 in front of us was slow but it was still a very nice day.

To much dirt patches along fairways. No drinking water on the course.

Upgrades needed
This course was not closed down for overseeding, and may not fill in very well with winter rye grass.
The toilet facilities, need to be upgraded with adult sized toilets.
Towel and toilet paper dispensers need to be maintained, instead of just having rolls sitting out for everyone to handle, particularly during this pandemic.

Arizona Golf Resort
The price was great, and the course has good length and lots of sand traps. Conditions are not great - fairways and greens OK, lots of the rough is dead/bare. Despite the great price, didn't feel like it was worth me driving a ways to get to play here.

Why Not Water?
This could be a nice like it was in the 70's if they would only water it. Staff is very friendly and helpful Layout of course is good. Condition of the course is bad. Played here this summer also and it was even worse. Swore we (8 of us) would never come back but decided to give it another try. Now we really mean we will never go back.
