Canoa Ranch Golf Resort

Staff let a group go without a scheduled tee time in front of us. Then later we were told to pick up the pace because a group 3 back were mad. Can only play as fast as the group in front and also over booked. No water to clean balls and no grass.

Traps are full of rocks …greens have different kinds of grass although they rolled well. (Looked worse than they were)

It was slow today …not sure why.

We enjoyed our time golfing. The staff was very friendly and quick with getting us checked in and we went to the driving range for a bit. We all lost about 4-5 balls each into the weeds/cactus/water and just left them. The patio and dining area are beautiful and we will try to get back there for lunch or dinner sometime.

This course is fun, but requires accuracy. Lots of places to lose balls.

Sand traps are terrible...calling them a sand trap is an insult to sand. They should be played as ground under repair.

They need to spend some work and money on the condition of the bunkers. They’re non-existent they should be called rockers instead of bunkers!

We have never been so rudely treated by any employee at any golf course in the world. We pre paid on golf now and the woman behind the desk was very rude. When we arrived at the course, the starter said to get checked in that they were ahead of time so we could get off a little early. The rude, nasty lady in the pro shop was very busy and when we got to the counter (finally) she said "put your VISA card in the machine". When I told her we had already paid thru Golfnow... she said "I can't let you check in early because you prepaid". WHAT? I said the starter told us to hurry up because we were going off early. She proceeded to say "they work for me so I tell them what to do". Wow... I sure wouldn't want her representing my business. The guys behind me just rolled there eyes as if this was an everyday occurence with the ugly individual. My question is why would someone be so nasty just because we prepaid through Golf now. She needs to get a life and be a little kinder --- she's one of the reasons this world is in the toilet right now! I paid to play golf just like everyone else that played that day. I sure wouldn't recommend this course to anyone!! Good luck with her, Canoa Ranch!!

Great layout with great views. The only ongoing problem is the condition of the traps which seems to be inherrent to Green Valley courses.

So much to like about this course, beginning with the friendly guys pulling bags from your trunk and loading carts; we're not used to this kind of service! Course is well-conditioned and challenging. Traps are treacherous and detract from an otherwise stellar golf experience.

Great course, friendly staff and great food.
