Morning view down the Par-5 5th fairway. A strong drive, especially to the center-right fairway, sets you up to go for the green in two! Photo submitted by vmustang on 04/25/2021

Good Overall but some Greens need attention
It is a nice course. The layout is straight but greens are not easy as they are small and have bunkers all around.
Good Value
Booked a foursome for Sunday morning with a hot deal. Found the course to be playable for the most part. Some of rough/fairways were a little long and had to spend some extra time finding the occasional ball.
Greens were very slow and had signs of being arreated in the past couple weeks.(Not sure if that was posted) It took a few holes to get adjusted to the speed and avoid some of the rough areas on greens.
Was a good round for the money for early September.
Overpriced for summer conditions
Almost $60 for summer rates and conditions were not that great. Saw the beverage girl on the front nine but never on the back nine
SLOW Play — SLOWER greens
Groupings were off and we had to wait forever on every hole. Super slow pace of play. Greens not in the best condition
Brucer
A bit too wet today, but there is nothing anyone e can do with the weather. Course overall was a bit chopped up around several greens.
Disappointing
I realize this time of year the AZ courses need to over water, however, San Marcos was extremely wet and frankly cost too much for a course in that condition. In addition, at 6:40 in the morning the course was relatively slow. On the positive side the staff was very friendly as always and breakfast at Bogey's was great. I will test the course again in the fall
Slow Play, Overpriced, Rough Shape
5 hour + round. We were stuck behind a large party on an early tee time. No Marshall. Overgrown tee boxes, no sand in bunkers, slow greens, no clear fairway to rough definition. Errant tee shots from other golfers on every hole. This place is significantly overpriced.
Staff was rude
We played this course for the first time on a Saturday. The course itself is pretty nice, with wide fairways and nice putting greens. But the staff was bad. My grand daughter was playing with us for her first time so in order to keep up with pace of play, we frequently had her pick up her ball and drop next to one of ours. We also let two groups play through. The course martial approaches us, and asks us to keep up the pace. We explained that this was my grand daughter’s first time, and that was why we had let two groups play through. He continued to follow and harass us, even though we kept up with and frequently had to wait for the group ahead of us . It was very annoying as the course was clearly over booked. Also we saw the refreshment cart several times, but could NOT get the girl to drive our way though we tried to wave her down several times. Mind you it was already 100 degrees at 7:00 am! Talk about thirst! I won’t return here. I wanted to ask for my money back at the turn!
