Morning view down the Par-5 5th fairway. A strong drive, especially to the center-right fairway, sets you up to go for the green in two! Photo submitted by vmustang on 04/25/2021

fun to play and ADA friendly
The course is wide open but with plenty of trees so you can find shade if you have to wait between shots. There is a creek that crosses 6 fairways that adds a little complexity and most greens are guarded by bunkers on two sides leaving narrow openings. Fairways were average for a public course but the rough didn't have a lot of grass and a few of the greens had some damage but on balance it was a decent course and good value for the price. The pro shop staff were welcoming and outdoor staff were friendly. They have blue flags for handicapped golfers and the course works well for one who has difficulty walking any distance.
Good course for the money
We had a great time at San Marcos, the pace of play was really good.
Firm Fairways
The pace of play was a bit slow for me. The fairways are a bit firm so you will get some roll. The greens are faster than they look. I would avoid the bunkers, they are pretty hard.
Bhaaahaaaa
5 hours and 15 minutes on this GOAT RANCH??? And staff is worthless...
NEVER AGAIN!
I like this course
This was my first time here and I will definitely be back. The staff was really friendly, the clubhouse and course layout were really nice.
As for the round, I played poorly, seemed my ball had a magnet to the bunkers, which brings up my only complaint, the sand was wet and hard and very tricky to get out of. Other than that, the course was in great condition.
Overbooked and GPS stolen
Insanely overbooked. It took 5 hours to reach the 14th hole. We quit after that. Also my brand new Bushnell GPS speaker was left in the cart and never made it to the lost and found. So I assume a worker stole that. 0/10 would not recommend.
Long drives and.slow greens….
No cart girl. No snack shack. We were an afternoon group and wanted refreshments.
No cooler chests for carts.
Course layout is very narrow, you almost feeling like you’re playing into your friends on both sides.
very good conditions, great pace of play
Course is in very good condition. some bunkers less sand than others. but very playable. Great pace of play. Very friendly staff
San Marco has some of the widest fairways on any course in AZ. If you can’t hit these fairways you must have a big slice or hook, take lessons 😃I agree with everything else you said.
