Morning view down the Par-5 5th fairway. A strong drive, especially to the center-right fairway, sets you up to go for the green in two! Photo submitted by vmustang on 04/25/2021

Fairways
Fairways are extremely close together. Lots of stay balls so be alert at all times.
Great course
Great staff, facilities are amazing. Putting green and chipping green are in great condition. Great food at clubhouse and at the turn. Only knock but doesn’t deserve losing stars is the driving range. It’s not long due to limited space. Fun track, challenging holes and greens are in amazing shape. -Ryan Jones
Just OK
Nothing great. Nothing horrible. Fast round. Friendly staff
A very nice course
Greens and fairways in excellent shape. Small green and protected by bunkers. Some cool holes with the canal and two over water Par 3's
San Marcos is a gem
I've played this course many times over the years and it doesn't get the credit it deserves, especially being the oldest grass golf course in AZ. Tree lined fairways with well bunkered, small greens. This course is certainly an approach shot golf course. Challenging for all levels, but still playable for less-experienced golfers. The course was in overall excellent condition as well.
Course was in very good shape. Greens were excellent!
Great Course
Course was in great shape and pace of play was great.
Overall good!
Played on 2/28. The only real negatives are the bunkers are hard pan, no real sand, golfers need to fix/fill divots, and better garbage clean up! Staff was great, there was a beverage cart, cold water on the course is always a plus.
Decent track. Don’t hit the bunkers.
Very inconsistent bunkers and green conditions. It’s winter so I know the pace of play is going to be slow, but 5.5hrs for 18 is a long day for everyone. Just hard to get a consistency going when it’s 10 min between shots.. play the bunkers like they’re on the cart path. The staff is super friendly though!
San Marcos
Great course, pace of play was a bit slow! Course was in good condition! Love the history!
