El Conquistador Tucson, A Hilton Resort

It’s difficult to keep a course in good shape in the 110°+ temperatures of southwest Arizona. Conquistador has figured it out. The course is inhreat shape, pace of play was just right. Even though we had a slower foursome in front of to us, three of us completed the round in just over 3 hours. Staff was friendly and accommodating. It was a great way to spend my birthday.

My wife and I caught up to the group ahead of us and the pace of play was horrible! While waiting to hit, one of them made a comment that they didn’t care if they took longer because they paid a lot for their membership! We ended up playing just 12 holes and left.

Course is in good shape considering time of year. Better than most places in town. Greens were tough to read because still a little bumpy. Sand traps were horrible. It was like hitting off of desert. IMO they should have bev cart on each side on weekends, we didn't see bev cart til hole 13. It was so hot so even if they have one on each side til 1 it would help.

Good level of difficulty. Course was in good condition.

With most municipal courses crispier than fried chicken, El Conquistador is green, lush, and a well maintained. I will most definitely return.

Was in Tucson visiting with family, decided to take a break. Played Cañada course - thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Challenging but fair course - from tee to green there are a nice mix of elevation changes, bunkers, and sloped greens.

Really enjoyed my time playing with my boys. They just started and this course is friendly to new golfers. Wide fairways (need some water). Greens were slow but manageable.. Also good pricing for junior golfers which makes it attractive

The course was in very good condition for this time of year in the desert. The greens wee true and the fairways had a lot of grass on them.
