Unique
This course fills the need for a fun nine hole experience. Not easy but the low price makes it accessible to all.
Very Challenging
Wonderful 9-hole course nestled among homes in El Conquistador Resort. Very few flat lies as all fairways are significantly sloped. Tight fairways make them very challenging. Greens are domed so many approach shots can hit the green and roll off. Very challenging, but very fun to play, Staff was very friendly and helpful. A great value for the fee.
Enjoyed
Had never played the Conquistador portion of the course. Thoroughly enjoyed playing there.
Good course, play it
Still early in the season and I’m sure conditions will improve, but it was still a very interesting round. Moderately challenging but fair. Houses around the course do not intimidate shots.
Perfect
We travel here from Colorado, it's become one of the best always around. Thanks
Great value and great course.
We were only going to play 9 but we played so fast we went for another 9. It was fun playing the 9’s back to back because you know what to expect the 2nd time around
The course is well-conditioned and fairly priced. Overseed holding up well despite funky weather; greens showing soma stress, but roll true. Bunkers are beautiful (compared to most muni courses in Tucson)!
Course was mai rained poorly. The tees were in bad shape the greens were in bad shape and had rough 2 inches tall on edge of greens. Can’t putt through that.
Fun and challenging course. Greens pretty slow. Other wise, really challenging.
Beautiful layout
Greens have potential untenable pin locations on holes 3,4,6,7 and 8. It behooves management to realize this and weigh the abilities of their clientele when setting pins. I would suggest that the easiest pins you can think of would be good thing and would improve pace of play..When several groups end up picking up on a hole they are saying something and I guarantee it ain't "wow what a challenge"
On the plus side course is in decent shape, it has interesting holes and the location is spectacular..
Nice course.
Tee area divots had been recently sanded, which is nice. Fairways and greens in good shape. they need a marshal. 4 some in front of us had at least 2 empty holes in front of them on 18. Odd layout doesn’t go by clubhouse on 10 on either course. They should let you know about that oddity when you check in.
9 hole challenge for approach shots
A fun course to play and hone your iron game play. Most greens are raised and have either false fronts or sides with various degrees of slope. The greens are extremely slow and fuzzy, so fucos on your driving and irons.
The course has 2 par fives (hole 1 is very short and a good birdie hole to warm up with...hole 5 a long beastly par 5). There are 3 par threes that are fun and challenging. The 4 par fours are very different...hole 2 short but with extremely raised smallish green, hole 5 requires a mid to long iron approach shot to an island green, hole 6 has a dog leg right with a large tree on the left requiring a draw tee shot, and hole 8 is a straightish par 4 that requires a decent tee shot to make the fairway plateau for a short iron to the green.
