Enjoyable day playing golf. Played with a family from Missouri and this was a great family to enjoy the game of golf.

Very nice course, great layout, a little long for me from the whites, but still fun. Definitely will play in the future when I travel to Arizona.

Great Course

Course is a lot of fun. Somewhat of a challenging layout. Green run fast but true. Don't be above the hole.

Fun Day

.

Fun day! This is a course that I have been wanting to play. The holes layouts were challenging. The t boxes and green were in good shape as well as bunkers had sand. The fairways looked nice but for a sunny day, were wet. Maybe some over watering since the fairways were cut short. I would play again but too pricy for the cost.

Poor course management

The course was somewhere I looked forward to playing. However, the intoxicated people in front of us and behind us made for a very unpleasant experience. Driving erratic and stopping on brakes to hear the squealing of tires repeatedly. Standing around talking and not committing to the pace of play as there was no help on the course to manage the behavior. Groups standing on greens taking pictures as we were waiting to hit. Hard to enjoy a course you look forward to playing with the inappropriate behavior of other guests.

So disappointed

Booked a time when we went to Phoenix for a 3 day weekend. I was really looking forward to playing here-especially after seeing it during the WM Open. Paid 300.00 per player but that was okay for us. It wasn’t okay to pay that and take 5 hours to play a round. We got stuck be home 2 groups for a bachelor party, with the 2nd group having 5 guys playing. Starter said they were already watching them to speed them up…this was prior to us even teeing off.

I asked an employee about letting 5 guys go out on hole 2 (after a 20 minute hole) and he replied that he 100% GUARANTEED that 5 guys weren’t playing and he was “on top of it”. As soon as he disappeared all 5 guys were playing (and we took a few pics of it but it isn’t worth my time to show them here). At exactly 2 1/2 hours into the round we finished #9 and I happened to run into the same employee at the halfway house and I expressed my displeasure with a 5 hour pace, to which I was told I was wrong and that everyone was only a few minutes behind pace (4:25 pace they say there), but I informed him that we teed off at 9:00 and it was exactly 11:30, so unless math has changed , we were on a 5 hour pace. I was told they track the carts inside, not on the course…nice answer. I also let him know at that point I GUARANTEE that all 5 guys were playing regardless of what he told me previously. The course Marshall (or course ambassador as they call them I think) actually did watch all 5 guys play and put a stop to that which made the rest of the round more enjoyable on a course that I had high hopes for but felt more like a fraud… shame on me for high expectations I guess.

Enjoy playing this course.

I have played this course several times and I enjoy it every time. Staff were very friendly and the course was in good shape. The bar outside is also a great spot to grab a drink and some food!!

The facilities and staff were great from the Toro restaurant to the course. The course was in great shape and very challenging (especially the front 9)! No straight putts! Cool to play where pros play and gives you a better perspective just how good they are!

Great day of golf

Friendly, laid back (starter encouraged us to enjoy music through the cart blue tooth!) Fun and challenging because it’s long and greens are fast—-but not impossible because rough is surprisingly forgiving. No slowdown until 15. Will be back!

Slow Play and No Management

We were excited to play the Champions Course after playing the Stadium Course previously. We showed up early for our 3:39 tee time and ended up buying a nice bag of goodies in the pro shop. Unfortunately we booked through Golf Now and when one in our party got sick the night before… we had no recourse for the $150.00 fee. The pro shop said they would help if Golf Now reached out to them. Note: call the course directly as they were charged $125.00 for the round.

Outside help were great and got us out early 20 minutes, saying this will give you a chance to get your round in. Perfect, but after four holes taking an hour and standing behind a group on the tee box…with one one fairway and a group on the green of the same hole…with another coming off the previous green, we called the clubhouse checking on help to move things along. No Answer which added to the frustration. Marshal finally came by and said he told others to “move” and that we weren’t going to get our round in. We finished 15 in the dark, and that was after others on the course left and we played three holes in 15 minutes.

We made the turn in 2 hours 40 minutes and waited to tee offfor 15 minutes cuz the slow players went to get food at the turn …. Ughhh. Not a pleasant experience, but not bad for a city municipal. Cheers.

Flight path disaster

The constant planes flying over head and noise was very disturbing and distracting. We had no idea the Champions course is so close to the Scottsdale Airport Runways. It was hard to enjoy our round. The planes were directly overhead and with private planes crashing a lot lately it was unnerving.
