About Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort
Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort is a historic hotel, golf course and sports academy 45 minutes south of Phoenix-Scottsdale. The hotel and golf course is on the campus of Grande Sports World, a training destination for youth and national teams. The property was founded by Horace Stoneham, the owner of the San Francisco Giants, and opened in 1959. There is an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, while guest rooms are standard rooms and suite accommodations. The golf course was designed by Ralph Plummer and can stretch to over 7,500 yards from the championship tees.Facts

Francisco Grand
This course has so much potential, more work in the fairways and bunkers, the staff is outstanding!
Slow
5 hours to play a beat up course with horrible greens and puddles all over the course because of the ancient water system. Staff is just collecting a pay check and does not care about the golfers. It’s sad this once iconic golf course has turned into a piece of crap
Fun at Francisco
Had a wonderful time today, weather and staff were great. Great course conditions.
Course issues
The course is in rough shape. Several greens are not up to par, several fairways with no grass, lots of mud everywhere, lots of gopher holes in the fairways, and some of the tee boxes are in bad shape. Its quite expensive to play when compared to other golf courses in the area with the shape its in. Staff were extremely friendly. My complaint is only the condition of the course.

Hidden Gem!
Francisco Grande is a fun, well-designed course that rewards smart shot placement. Fairways are forgiving, greens roll true, and the layout keeps things interesting without being overly punishing. Pace of play is solid, staff is friendly, and the overall vibe is relaxed. Definitely worth a round if you’re in the area. ⛳️

Vast improvement
The course is vastly improved over the conditions the last time we golfed it 2 years ago. It was good te see the fairways, tee boxes and greens back in playing condition! We will be golfing here a few more times this year!

Better than previous years
This is the best overseed in years. Course is looking promising, if they can get the greens to play faster it will be a great deal.
Course Needs work.
This course was not in good shape at all. Hardly any grass on the fairways. Half dirt. The greens were pitted with dirt areas as well. More dirt and less green. The course lay out was beautiful. Has a lot of potential to be a 4 star course. It looks like the course has not been taken care of in awhile. Money has not been spent to keep it to standards. It has a hotel on site as well. Money should be spent on the course to bring more people there to play, raise tee fee’s and maybe bring more business to the hotel that’s on the course for weekend tee times. A Golf weekend.
It's not clean.
There was not good condition. Especially creem condition no good.
classic course
Played here for years. Course is always fun to play, elevation and water makes it interesting.
Needs TLC
This course has a decent layout and green complexes are pretty decent. Definitely have an irrigation system problem but management is working on it. Great value if you don’t mind the drive. Would love to see conditions in the hotel and love the history.
