Meh
The course itself was in mediocre condition. The fairways were hard, so we definitely picked up some distance. The tee boxes were shabby, and it was a good grunt to get the tee in the ground. The further into the course we got, the more neglected it got. There’s lots of room for improvement overall. I also look for the little things - the bathrooms were just OK, the cart paths were rough and some had weeds growing through them, ornamental pavers were askew - just things that make the course look sloppy. But, for the money, it was a good way to spend a day in the sun.
Jewel of Casa Grande
This course is looking great. The greens are probably the best I have ever seen them. Well worth the drive to play
Fun.
Had a good time. Fairways at times were a little thin but the overseer was better than most. Greens actually would hold a shot and putted fairly well
just OK
Very forgiving, lots of rough and little OB areas. I got away with a lot of bad shots. Course is in decent shape. Some interesting holes but layout is nothing to write home about. I was expecting more from a resort course. Overpriced for sure, this should be a ~$25 round but I played double that.
Greens are getting better
Lots of tall grass and weeds on perimeter of fairways making it hard to find balls.
Surprisingly good course!
Great layout with every hole a challenge. Tee boxes need some work, but the greens are excellent.
March golf
The course is coming in very nice now. The greens are in great shape as well as the fairways now.
They have put sand into the sand traps so over all the course is a great valve and a tough course to play and score well in.
Good golf for your dollar
Good layout, with tree lined fairways. Some hole have trees in fairway, and bunkers making for challenging shots.
Ok for the money
The course was in good condition the greens were nice and laid out well consistent condition staff was friendly the sandwiches from the restaurant we're good good value for the money played at Twilight round
Fair place to play
Easy to find, easy check in, water buckets for towels , water on course, carts good, no sand to fill divots, tees ok, fairways with rows of grass, bunkers pretty hard, greens fairly slow and occasionally bumpy, fairways also pretty hard, ok place to play if can't go elsewhere
Wet, Rainy and Cold
Considering we have been getting more than our usual rainfall and unseasonably cold weather for the Sonoran Desert in Arizona; the course was in much better condition than when it opened for the season October 5th, 2018.
In fact there was only one golfer ahead of us at our 8:00am tee time. We only saw 3 more golfers behind us when we reached the 7th hole. By the 12th hole Mother Nature said "There'll be no more of that!". The skies opened up and we were drenched........Done! We left without even considering playing anymore. Turns out there were funnel clouds spotted not 30 miles away yesterday!
Fairways
Fairways are like playing in the rough. It was difficult finding our golf balls in the middle of some the fairways which adds time to our round. Fairways need cutting. Everything else was fine.
Golf trip
Great course, very nice setting.
Also excellent fish and chips at the clubhouse!
Good value
Overall great value. Greens and fairways were healthy with only a few patches/areas that need work. Greens were firm but receptive with good and consistent speed. Some might say the rough is unkempt, but I thought it was a good penalty for inaccuracy that you could lose a ball only five or ten yards wide of the fairway. Pay attention to where your think your ball ended up. Tee boxes could have been better maintained. Pace of play was good. We played 18 in under four hours, but still had a twosome riding our butts most of the day. Would recommend and would play again.
