Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort is a historic hotel, golf course and sports academy 45 minutes south of Phoenix-Scottsdale. The hotel and golf course is on the campus of Grande Sports World, a training destination for youth and national teams. The property was founded by Horace Stoneham, the owner of the San Francisco Giants, and opened in 1959. There is an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, while guest rooms are standard rooms and suite accommodations. The golf course was designed by Ralph Plummer and can stretch to over 7,500 yards from the championship tees.Facts

could use some TLC. Could be really good.
I have played Francisco Grande many times and like the layout of the course. On this day we arrived to be told the halfway house was not opened. There had been a frost delay and we ended up teeing off only 10 minutes past our scheduled tee time. There is never a marshall at this course and they could use one. There were golfers driving across tees and across par 3 holes that should be cart path only. Ball marks galore, no rakes for bunkers etc. This could be a very good course but they need to control the traffic from golf carts, rope off some areas to keep carts away and get it to the condition it should be in. It is a shame its is not in better condition. Don't know when I will try it again.

This is my first round of 2023 at this course I have played it in the past and always enjoyed it
This year it’s in great shape from all the rain
Course was terrible
Fairways were disked with unfilled grooves. Old gopher holes between cart path and t-boxes that were there for at least 4 years. Course has great potential but I don’t have any hope. I golfed there 4 years ago and nothing has changed, not even hole location.
Never again
It took 5 hours to play 10 holes and then I quit. I only quit because the group of 2 in front of me wouldn’t let me play with or pass them. Then one of them peed on a tree and I saw his little peepee. I called to clubhouse and they sent someone out and all they did was yell at me. Never ever again will I go here and I hope this place just shuts down it’s so extremely poorly ran and not maintained at all. Had an airplane land and take off next to me on the back nine the time before this. Just literal insanity there.

Interesting course. They've obviously invested money into it and improved the course.
Slowwwwwwww Greens
Ball bounces on greens that sare super slow, a lot of dirt spots on greens, has a good layout just needs way more upkeep, outdoor bump n run is best part of course
