JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa

The course overall is similar to the Faldo course on site. We had a group of people in front of us that moved at a snails pace. With our group was playing we should have been in and out in 3.5 hours, maybe 3 hours and 45 minutes tops.

The players assistant or in common terms, “Marshall” told the group to speed up multiple times. They were the only thing holding up the whole course.

The group continued to play very slow. Was told from the club cleaner the Marshall will only ask, but never actually do anything - this led to a poor experience which will simply make me and of of the 2 never go back.

Called pro shop, no accountability, felt like they’ve had the same issue many times and all would say is “sorry”

Awful.

Accommodating staff, facilitated expedient start and paired with a great “blind date.” The course was in excellent condition. The greenside bunkers were compacted, but playable.

Course was in very good shape. Grass in fairways and greens is nice.

Had trouble making 10’ or less putts but was probably me. Pace on greens very uniform hole to hole which makes putting much easier.

Would highly recommend.

I think this is a terrific golf course, especially if you can find a discounted rate.

The pro shop staff barely acknowledge us. They almost seemed put off to deal with green fee players.

The workers at the cart area and range were great.

Good condition! Nice layout! Good practice facilities!

Lots of traps, sneaky long too. Good shape and the greens rolled true. Fun time was had. Probably about $40 over what I’d expect to pay at a similar course. Overall it’s nice
