About JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa

The JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa is a large, luxury golf resort in Tucson, Arizona home to a 27-hole golf course. JW Marriott Starr Pass features over 500 guest rooms and suites, as well as several pools, one of which features a waterslide, and there is also a lazy river. The resort also has easy access to desert hiking and biking trails. The Hashani Spa and fitness center is located onsite. JW Marriott Starr Pass has seven dining concepts, featuring both Mexican and Mediterranean fare and has both indoor and patio concepts, as well as a breakfast buffet. The 27-hole golf course, Starr Pass Golf Club is a top resort course in the Tucson area. It originally opened in 1986 but was redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 2003. It has made the Golf Advisor Golfers' Choice list for the state of Arizona. Extra Holidays, unaffiliated with Marriott and the golf club, offers condominium "golf suites" overlooking Starr Pass Golf Club.

Greens were patchy and there were workers all over the course working on them. Traps could use more sand. Pace of play was pretty slow - we waited on every hole. Beautiful & challenging course.

Breath Taking and Target Golf.

Play here every time in Tucson. The layout is terrific and tight. With most desert courses if your off target every shrub and cactus has thorns. So place those shots accurately. The mountains and elevation lays out a picture perfect golf experience. You will remember your round

Wonderful round. Only on course issue are the greens, bad cup replacement and suffering from lots of poor golf etiquette

After round patio lovely. Turkey BLT possibly the worst I ever had.

Rattler/Roadrunner

Greens not nice, bumpy and patchy. Slow pace of play on back. No marshalls. Layout interesting and challenging. No washrooms on course. Worth it if hot deal on Golfnow.
