About Legacy Golf Resort

Legacy Golf Resort, operated by Shell Holidays, is located just south of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. This resort features the 18-hole Legacy Golf Club, designed by Gary Panks and home to a full practice facility and golf instruction and academy. The resort features 328 suites set in a Spanish mission-style theme and units feature either kitchens or kitchenettes, washer-dryers, patios or balconies and large living areas. There is an outdoor pool with cabanas and an outdoor bar, tennis courts, sand volleyball, shuffleboard, BBQ area and children's playground. Dining is available at the golf club.

Legacy coming back from punch

Greens were almost there, tee boxes good and fairways were generally in excellent condition. Remember when summer rates were 1/2 of now but only going to go up with tariffs.

Awesome Course

Very nice fun layout and course design, Pure tees, fairways and greens. Some bunkers needed more sand and washed out…. All property staff were kind and respectful aseelll accommodating to our needs. Beverage and bar restaurants staff were great. It was an Awesome Day!

Great course slow pace

This is my second time playing this course in 2 days. I love the course. It was in excellent condition. The staff is great. But the pace of play was very slow. Overall I enjoyed it but it did take 4 and 1/2 hours.

Very forgiving

I played the course for the first time on July 30, 2025. The course was in excellent condition. The fairways were very forgiving. The greens were in great condition and the ball rolled true. Pace of play was good and I really enjoyed the course layout.

Great layout but don’t go in the sand

Legacy is one of the best Desart course layouts. The fairways are always green. The only issue with this course is the bunkers. The bunkers don’t have sand in them is more like a hard clay dirt. If they fix the bunker it would be the best public course in the valley.

Doesn’t get better then this

Conditions even in 100 degree weather were pristine

Fun course and staff were all incredible

Best value in town and it’s not even close

Do yourself a favour and make sure you book this course
