Incredibly small and tight course!
Not only is this course incredibly slow with retirees, but you need to be constantly aware of balls flying at you and over your head! This course is ok if your aware of all of this before booking! Id say this is more of a par 3 course, since 90% of the 18 holes are in fact, par 3. The clubhouse is very dated and overdue for renovations. Id say the best part of playing this course, is the stunning mountain views and scenery. Just my honest opinion.
Marvelous course for short game
My only minor problem was a frost delay due to low temps. Staff was most accommodating.
Great short game!
These short holes really give you a work out, since being accurate is so important. Nice course, well laid out and fun to play.
Really enjoyable round of golf...
This golf course is a compact wonder. It just is a fun couple of hours using almost every club in your bag.
Beautiful surroundings and nothing but dark green grass on every fairway. The greens were great, but a bit too hard for my high lob shots to stay on.
You have to try this course at least once.
Any Joe Cool would love to play here!
I love the rock and roll music playing in the bag drop area, it's what keeps me coming back!! It's not hard rock or anything that would give you a headache, it's just great oldies that gets you in the mood to golf. The holes are in great condition and helps you practice your short iron shots. The views are stupendous and the staff is "the Bomb" I would play here everyday if I could :o)
Beautiful executive course - centrally located. A+
My wife and I always enjoy playing Mountain Shadows. It's close to home, very nicely maintained and a great way to get in a short 18 holes in less than 3 hours. There are some really fun holes, including a few over water. It's a terrific place to practice your short game, or when you don't have time to play a full course.
Great executive course
This was my first time playing this course. I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent condition of the course; well maintained, beautiful views and challenging. I look forward to playing this course again!
Great place to work on the short game
This is a small executive course with mainly Par 3's. The greens are superb and the course looks great. I enjoy playing here when I want to work on my short game.
Great course, beautiful setting
I love this executive course. It sits at the bottom of Camelback Mountain, so it has incredible views. It's really well maintained (and I really hope they're successful in renovating the hotel to make this a hip mid-century modern golf resort), and the staff are friendly. The course is easy, but narrow, so it's quite challenging if you have a tendency to hook or slice the ball. You can easily play 18 holes in 3-3.5 hours. Highly recommend for a quick and enjoyable game.
Love the length of the course.
After having a horrible accident on the course last November,
my friend and I loved being able to play the entire course.
We feel that it is the perfect length for our game at this time and
the course, staff, views have been such a joy to experience.
Nice Fairways, Quick Greens, Awesome Views
This course is in great shape and the greens ran pretty true and quick. Fairways are nice but the rough is deadly......This course is not limited on the views!
Well maintained, fun little Exec course
Staff was very friendly when arrived; helpful and accommodating. Course is in very good shape, beautiful views of Camelback Mtn, and well maintained. Course is in the foothills behind the former Host Marriott hotel just off of Lincoln Drive in Paradise Valley, which creates many uphill and downhill shots. There were two par 4's among a long string of par 3's, some as short as 70 yards. Some of the T-box par 3 yardages, especially the short ones, seem to be shorter than listed, so be careful. Have fun and relax.
Great golf day
My wife and I played 18 holes, a unique experience for my wife who is a very casual golfer. Play was a little slow at times but we thoroughly enjoyed the golf experience.
Terrific scenery
Two ladies on cart 102. Metal rack for cooler was broken
I bumped into it several times because it stuck out. I have a bruise on my hand about 3 inches in diameter. I iced it from hole 9
I also have one on my side thigh that is large, after 24 hours swelling still there and very tender.
Not acceptable!
One of the best executive courses.
Great course for limbering up after a golf hiatus.
Nice 3 par challenge
My wife and I enjoyed this beautiful course at the base of Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale, AZ. I didn't need a driver due to the mainly par 3 course, but I certainly enjoyed the views and the challenges of the course. If I am in the area again I will definitely plan on this course again. A good warm up for longer course.
Course in very good condition.
The course is in excellent condition.
The course is consists on mainly par 3 holes and very similar in between them. You can play this course with only 4 clubs!
That being said it's a very good course if your looking to practice your short game.
Very nice pace of play...without shadows..Great vistas!
Would do this again soon in a heartbeat..Love 3 pars...!
Some houses are close, not much room for error!
Nice scenery. First course played in Az. Good experience. Did not have a logo ball
Slow play tee times overbooked
Course was just reseeded and is in great shape, no carts allowed on fairway (understandable) took 4hrs to play a executive course is to long
