The course is nice, short and sweet!
It is an excellent course to practice one's short game or like myself to take my 7 year old grandson out for some great play at a great price! He loved it and we have been around the valley doing only 9 holes and he thought it was terrific to play a full 18! Great time to go as well as there were not a lot of people out and we could take our time learning course management and all about mulligans! Would definitely recommend it!
Beautiful Arizona Setting
Nestled near Camelback Mountain this course is in a beautiful setting. You will meet polite fellow golfers with pleats and ironed shirts. The staff is super accommodating and friendly so you feel welcome and at home. The variety of holes will hone your short game and also test the longer clubs in your bag. This course is one of the reasons they call it Paradise Valley. Golf well and often. Jimmy
Tough course with great features.
The course has narrow fairways and small greens with sandtraps and water on many holes around the greens. The course is always fun to play. The sandtraps were rather hard but everything else was fine.
Best Executive Course in Arizona!
This executive course lies in the Camelback Mountains and is by far the best (short course) I've played in the State (16 par 3's and 2 par 4's). Well maintained, lots of sand, some beautiful water holes and wonderful views.
Mountain Shadows
PV's little jewel of a GREAT GC! Always enjoy playing there. Thank God all parties have come around and resolved there issues. Would have lost another GREAT GC since it beginnings(1957).
Great short course
Mountain Shadows is a gem of a course. Some would say it is a good place to practice your short game, as if real golf is only played on a championship course. I would say that Mountain Shadows is a great place to soak in the pleasures of golf's short game. There is much to enjoy here. The backdrop of Camelback Mountain and other views of Paradise Valley reveal why this is such a coveted address. Tees, fairways, greens and bunkers are well maintained. The course has a nice variety of hole layouts. Most are about 170 yards but there are plenty of elevated bunkers that protect the greens and require players to make an accurate shot. Even the short holes require skill, placing the greens behind beautifully designed water hazards. Some would tell you to leave your driver behind but if you drive less than 240 yards and can hit it straight, there are three holes where you might pull off your head cover.
When I played early in the morning, the pace was brisk. I left wanting more. You couldn't ask much more of a short course.
Excellent
Great Executive course and very well kept for this time of year in Arizona
Beautiful, fun little course!
Great value, friendly staff, well-maintained. 4-5 very short holes punctuate more difficult par 3's and a couple 4's on a hilly executive course requiring accuracy and putting skill. Fun!
My summer oasis. Great shape!
These guys didn't take the summer off. Great condition of the entire course, and the greens are even nice. Lots of deals and promotions, check the website, its a good one.
Fun little course
My wife and I play Mountain Shadows almost once a week, it
Is her favorite course. We love the staff there, they are always friendly. The course is always in beautiful shape, with some of the best views of camelback mountain you can get.
This course has great features
This is the second time I played this course and enjoyed it both times. It has some chaallenging holes and scenery is great.
4th of July
Great short course great view of camel back mountin
great time
the course was well maintained and was a great golf experience
Great place to work on your irons.
Mountain Shadows is an excellent executive course that lies in the shadow of Camelback Mountain, right in the heart of Paradise Valley. It's a great short course, full of strong par3s that always have really challenging pin placements. The course was in great shape when I played this summer, including the tee boxes, the fringe, whatever fairways there are, and the greens weren't that bad at all. The rates plummet when the Arizona heat kicks in, so take advantage while you can, shooting par here would be very impressive. It's well maintained and the views in the heart of PV are conducive to a solid mind state, it's just a great place to work on your game,
A wonderful gem!
Not a long course...executive in length...but just beautiful. Greens were nice and fairways were also. Not very busy so we played quickly on a hot day. Loved the mountain backdrops on some shots. A real good chance to work on your iron game. A great deal for the dollar.
Beautiful and fun layout!
A very beautiful and short course. Gives you a great chance to work on your iron game and enjoy a putting challenge on each green. Definitely worth the play...sailed around in just over 3 hours...no waiting. Will be back again.
Super short game challenge
Charming executive course which winds through the Paradise Valley neighborhood. 2 par 4.s and lots of challening par 3's. I played in under 2 hours without braking a sweat,

the starter pat is one of the best people at a Course i have ever seen
Beautiful course!
I had a great time playing at this course. The only downside is the really expensive houses near the course.
Greatness again...
This is still one of the best value rates around - grass is kept great, greens are well maintained, rate is acceptable, length is lacking but green difficulty offers a challenge that should keep you coming back for more!
