Omni Tucson National Resort
About Omni Tucson National Resort
Omni Tucson National Resort is one of Arizona's most historic golf resorts, having formerly hosted the PGA Tour. The resort has just 128 guest rooms and suites, making it a more boutique experience compared to some of the larger Tucson golf resorts. There are two very different, 18-hole golf courses onsite. The original Catalina Course opened in 1962 with the resort and is more classically parkland in nature. The Sonoran Course is newer, designed by Tom Lehman, and more of a desert-style layout. Guests can dine at casual Legends Bar & Grill or enjoy fine dining at Bob's Steak & Chop House. Off the golf course, guests can enjoy lighted tennis course, spa, 24-hour fitness center and sand volleyball courts.Facts

#16 plays fairly steeply uphill. I was 16 inches for a birdie, after hitting a solid 135 club from 109 out. Photo submitted by Jonathan5270953 on 08/14/2013

Awesome
In a word Awesome, even with punch greens and some sand., but there was very little affect on putting the ball rolled pretty well. Course is AWESOME.
Very fair golf course
Excellent golf course, First time there staff were very helpful. Greens were awesome for June. Fairways in great condition. Very nice practice facility. Cant wait to go back !
Love this course
Great course always in good condition. I love more than anything when going as a single they let you have your own cart. I love that!
Great course and staff
Everyone was very nice the staff went out of their was to make sure stay and golf was good
Beautiful course with a great staff and amenities.
This is a resort course, actually two 18 hole courses, with each course presenting many challenging holes. I played the Catalina course which has 5 par fives. This course was played in the past by the PGA for the Tucson Chrysler Open. There is talk now of possibly getting a Champions Tour tournament soon.
A great experience with the staff
Everyone was helpful in getting the cart loaded and answering general course questions. We only had time for 9, and the staff got us out a little earlier. The greens were in really good shape even though it was 110 degrees at 12:30 PM.
Wow Views
The course and the greens were in fantastic shape, my playing partners were not very good and play was very slow (5 hours). What makes these two 18 holes courses are the incredible views they offer of the Catalina mountains, take the time to enjoy them
Tucson National
Course was in excellent condition and was well worth the green fees. We were not held up and paired with a very nice couple visiting from Colorado. The practice facilities including the chipping and bunker areas were excellent. Highly recommend this course.
This course has great features
The staff was fabulous. Andres made us fell so welcome. I believe he felt as if he couldn't do enough for us. I will be back..
PLAY THIS COURSE!!!!!!!!!
We were able to get a GolNow.com rate of $29 for 18 and cart. What a steal. I would have gladly paid full price for this gem. Ample fairways, greens that held iron shots, bunkers in good shape, elevation changes, course was well marked, saw the beer cart 4 times during our round, staff in pro shop was super friendly. All around very very wonderful facility. You have to make it a point to play here. There are two 18 hole courses on the complex, we played the Sonoran, going back soon to play the Catalina!
Great Greens
Excellent course, highly recommended. The greens and fairways where in great shape.
well worth the money!
the course was in great shape. the greens were fast and perfect. All in all a great place to play!
Excellent course conditions
Tees, fairways, aprons and greens, all in great shape.
Ranger was friendly and very helpful in speeding up play.
Tough finishing holes!
The course plays longer than the yardage, but it is playable and quite fair. Numbers 9 and 18 are very challenging, to say the least. Its difficult to figure out where to hit your drive because of water and trees on #9 and water on both sides of the fairway on #18. If you keep it in play on either hole, the second shot is no picnic, either. Both are long, uphill and into the prevailing wind.
Son and Dad's day out
We had a great time. Was a windy day so that made it more challenging. We will play this course again hopefully with better weather conditions.
Course is in excellent condition
Challenging course in excellent condition. Fairways were like hitting off a plush carpet and greens were in superb condition. Sand comes into play on every hole, so this course is for those who can hit where they're aiming.
Nice course, lots of bunkers and good greens
We played this course in just over 4 hrs. The pace of play was great and the course was in good shape. The greens had been punched and had not been top dressed, but you could see that they were in good condition and would roll well if not for the aerating. There were bunkers all over the course with steep faces. We enjoyed the course and would play it again. Not sure I would pay the normal rates however we got 18 holes for $55, which was more then fair.
Grumpy Bunch
Everything was wonderful except the guy working behind the counter. He was an arrogant and obnoxious man named Andreas.
Tucson National
Great experience. Beautiful course and challenging layout. We were a twosome and the pace of play was fast. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. The greens had just been aerated but not sanded. They were bumpy, but playable.
Most Fun
It is absolutely one of my favorite Tucson courses. Beautiful setting. Well layed out. Greens in great shape (although aerated the day I played). Challenging enough but fun.
