Omni Tucson National Resort
About Omni Tucson National Resort
Omni Tucson National Resort is one of Arizona's most historic golf resorts, having formerly hosted the PGA Tour. The resort has just 128 guest rooms and suites, making it a more boutique experience compared to some of the larger Tucson golf resorts. There are two very different, 18-hole golf courses onsite. The original Catalina Course opened in 1962 with the resort and is more classically parkland in nature. The Sonoran Course is newer, designed by Tom Lehman, and more of a desert-style layout. Guests can dine at casual Legends Bar & Grill or enjoy fine dining at Bob's Steak & Chop House. Off the golf course, guests can enjoy lighted tennis course, spa, 24-hour fitness center and sand volleyball courts.Facts

#16 plays fairly steeply uphill. I was 16 inches for a birdie, after hitting a solid 135 club from 109 out. Photo submitted by Jonathan5270953 on 08/14/2013

Reviews
Son and Dad's day out
We had a great time. Was a windy day so that made it more challenging. We will play this course again hopefully with better weather conditions.
Course is in excellent condition
Challenging course in excellent condition. Fairways were like hitting off a plush carpet and greens were in superb condition. Sand comes into play on every hole, so this course is for those who can hit where they're aiming.
Nice course, lots of bunkers and good greens
We played this course in just over 4 hrs. The pace of play was great and the course was in good shape. The greens had been punched and had not been top dressed, but you could see that they were in good condition and would roll well if not for the aerating. There were bunkers all over the course with steep faces. We enjoyed the course and would play it again. Not sure I would pay the normal rates however we got 18 holes for $55, which was more then fair.
Grumpy Bunch
Everything was wonderful except the guy working behind the counter. He was an arrogant and obnoxious man named Andreas.
Tucson National
Great experience. Beautiful course and challenging layout. We were a twosome and the pace of play was fast. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. The greens had just been aerated but not sanded. They were bumpy, but playable.
Most Fun
It is absolutely one of my favorite Tucson courses. Beautiful setting. Well layed out. Greens in great shape (although aerated the day I played). Challenging enough but fun.
Catalina course 4/20/2014
Not typical desert golf. We are from FL, it was more like that. Water and minimal elevation changes. Greens were in good shape but rolling about 9.5. I would play it again.
Absolutely wonderful!
This course was truly top notch! From the time we arrived at the bag drop until the moment we departed, the staff made us feel so welcomed. Course was in great condition and speed of play was phenomenal. We ended up playing as a twosome and so we were very spoiled. Loved the course so much we're playing again on Thurs. Can't wait! Yes, the greens are fast!
Very good expierence
I was very happy to play a traditional course in the desert. The course was in great shape and the greens were consistent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants a great experience and challenge while in Tucson and the price is very well worth playing this course. I played the Cantilena course, the other course is the desert style course and it look to be in the same high quality condition.
GREAT COURSE
Enjoyed the parkland layout. Practice facilities are top notch.
Classic course
Nice course if u can get a good deal. I wouldn't pay over $60 to play here and with golfnow u shouldn't need to.
Great desert course
I was matched with two other gentlemen and had a great time. The pace of play was good and the course was in good shape
Nice course, a must if you are in the area.
Played for $55 using GolfNow. Free range balls before the round. Very nice layout. Best greens I've been on in years. Starter was very friendly and helpful. Very challenging approach shots. Good sand in the bunkers. The marshal was somewhat annoying, kept saying we were behind but the group behind us never got within a hole of us. We did have one guy in our group that took way too much time but still we never got out of position as far as I was concerned. Tough first time play since you just don't know where to go, would play much better next time. Should have GPS on the carts, I had my own so np but a must.
Scenic desert course with variety
My favorite course in oro valley. Great views, greens, and challenging but not penal.
ANOHTER GREAT ROUND
HAVE PLAYED THIS COURSE MANY TIMES AND LOVE IT EVERYTIME. COUIRSE IS BEAUTIFUL AND YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF PLAYING 9 OR 18 HOLES. MY HEALTH REQUIRES ME TO PLAY ONLY 9. EVERYONE IS FRIENDLY.
Play their sister course (Sornoran)
A convaluted layout. They provide you with a map to go from the 9th green to the 10th tee box. Course was in great shape but I played their sister course after playing this one; far more picturesque
very beautiful desert course

Fun Course
The course was challenging but a lot of fun to play,
Sonoran course is challenging with spectacular vistas of mountains
Course played tough with plenty of desert and sand. Fairways and greens in very good shape.
Would definitely play again.
