What a dump
I used to play here often but played Monday afternoon and was highly disappointed with the condition of the course and the overall state of the building. For the price I paid I absolutely won’t be back again. Whoever management is now has run this place into the ground and it is sad to see.
Greens need to be redone!!
We flew in for a guys event and decided to play this course cause it looked great on the pictures.
The layout is pretty good, not too challenging but easy.
The faiways were in good shape, but the greens were horrible, greens resemble a $40 golf course and not top pic golf course.
Staff was really friendly, Would not play again. Sorry.
Worst course ever
I’m an avid golfer and a golf enthusiast, who loves to travel and play new courses. DO NOT let the “Best Golf Course in Scottsdale” slogan fool you. Let’s start with walking up to the course.. when asked, even the bag boy said, “eh, this course is rough” - no mention from the check in staff of any poor course conditions. We walk to the stupid range that looks about as terrible as the condos you can stay at. Range is tiny, on top of each other, mat only, pay for balls. Moving on. The course was like playing in the parking lot next to Baghdad. Dried dirt covered “greens” that were nothing green about it. Fairways as dry as a patch of hay in a horse stall. We left after 9 holes and told the staff about our displeasure. The staff “Tyler” basically told me, welp, nothing I can do. We fired our greens keeper. No money back. No refund. Nothing. He gave me his bosses card and I emailed him, with no response. Do not waste your time or money.
Don’t play this course.
This course was a HUGE disappointment!!! Claiming to be one of Arizonas greatest courses. Horrible conditions. Greens were completely destroying. Tee boxes destroyed. Fairways poor poor condition. Range area had like 15 tee boxes 4ft a part. Never again. We walked off after 9 but wanted to walk off after 3 holes. Went to staff and they basically laughed at any refund or composition. The 3 of us will make it known to stay away from this course. $150 fees was lack of a better word stupid. We’ll make it knows via social media. We came all the way from Detroit to this mess of a course. Staff inside could care less.
Overpriced
The pace of play was so slow we almost didn’t finish. Typical garbage Scottsdale course charging over 100
Greens are mostly dead, 40% sand.
Greens are mostly dead, 40% sand. Putting is 90% of golf...and the greens are mostly dead. Tee boxes and fairways are also over saturated with standing water everywhere though no rain. Three tees were basically mud...not worth the 150 proce tag and course should be temporarily removed from golfnow until conditions improve. Major waste of funds...
John
The Greens were in trouble. It will get better in a month. I like the coarse. Golfed it a lot. I will come back.
1st Time EVER
On my birthday the 15th…on the 15th hole… had my first HOLE-IN-ONE!!! Pretty cool
Orange Tree Golf Club
The course was in poor shape, especially the greens. The Snack Shack is a great idea but our morning hot dog was way undercooked and our lunch ham and cheese sandwich was the worst ever. Would not play there again unless it was half the price
Nice course bad greens
This course is too nice to have greens in this shape. I would not recommend Orange Tree until the greens are back in shape.
Issues with greens but still great course
Fun still but a few greens very impacted by fungus
Greens are in poor shape
Played last week (early January) greens are terrible! holes, heavy sand, bare spots, and looks like a fungus had taken over . I phoned the Pro shop to talk to the director of golf, wasn’t in. I asked the pro shop to have him call me. I’m still waiting.
In this case every person should be told of the playing conditions of the greens before they pay and offered a discount Phone before you play!!
Bad course
Poor layout et greens with sand! Too expansive and not a good value !
greens
absolute worse greens in the valley... divots and no grass on greens terrible
