Orange Tree Resort

Played OT with a friend yesterday. Tee’d off at 2:44, and was able to finish 18 in about 3:40! Had foursomes in front of us too. Pleasantly surprised by course conditions. Very much enjoyed the round!

Always liked Orange Tree. It’s a better version of Starfire. However this last tee time brought down my opinion in a big way.

Somehow there was a 1 hour frost delay. We found out when we showed up to the pro shop. There should have been some communication, we didn’t need an hour and 45 minutes to warm up. After that the round was 5 hours. Spent a lot of time putting and chipping, only the greens were not the same as the practice green.

I’ll just have to wait until the summer when the course rates match the course we just played.

Poor turf conditions throughout course. We were hitting off dirt too many times.on first hole fgolf balls from range we’re literally falling from the sky around us on fairway, some quite close. Way overpriced for what this course is there are many better choices.

The course and greens are in good shape this year! Fun course

Everything is so well organized at Orange Tree. Starter is great, inside personal are friendly and course is improved over last year.

Good condition except for rough / dormant grass is too short, muddy, tire tracks - need to play much of it as ground under repair.

Greens were sanded yesterday, so that was disappointing. I understand the greens are recovering from a fungus which affected them last year.

Fairways were in excellent condition. Pace of play was good - marshal made sure players moved along.

Pro shop staff very friendly as was Chuck, the starter.

Very enjoyable round. I’d like to play again when the greens have fully recovered.

Course on poor condition no grass to hit out of fairway rock hard wouldn’t go back

Played with two fantastic gentlemen who have played Orange Tree numerous times. One of the gents recorded his first hole in one on #12. We had discussed if any of us had a hole in one on a previous par 3. What a great memory.

The course was ok. The tee boxes a little difficult getting the tee in the ground. Some of the fairways were hardpan fairway and tight lies. Stayed out of the bunkers so can not comment on the sand and condition. Around the greens and aprons were ok. The greens were nice to get good strokes and roll to the hole. The staff was excellent from the pro hop to the cart tenders. Thanks for a great visit.
