Golf course greens
The course was fine but the greens were terrible for the price we had to pay
Terrible Greens and Slow Play & No on-course Refreshments.
We have played here before. Lots of trees some water and decent fairways.
Two major issues: Putting greens are in terrible condition and the whole course seems like it needs to be aerated. Large, rough, grassless patches on almost every green. Don’t know if the greens keeper should be fired or the management that didn’t shell out the money to manage the product. We paid $300 for two of us to play. They should have told us the course was in poor condition.
Cart girl showed up twice…once on the 2nd hole and once on the 17th hole. Should have seen her two more times during the round.
The play was slow on the front 9 and the back.
Felt like things should be better. Won’t be back until there are good reviews.
What happened to the Greens?
Greens were absolutely AWFUL.
We were told by pro shop that one/two greens were in Bad shape......how about 16 greens were in POOR shape at best & 2 were about disgraceful! The layout of the course is fine but really ! There was NOT 1 green with all grass.
Would have been better with having 18 temporary greens.
Greens Are Awful
Course conditions are good except the greens are awful. Many patches of no grass - just dirt. It is not noted on their site but "mentioned" when you check in and they say that their pricing is reflected; however, as compared to other local courses, their pricing is the same.
The greens were in horrible condition. They shoud be ashamed to ask for the rate they are charging for greens in such poor shape. I will not play here again until I hear the greens are repaired.
The greens were especially bad. Maybe a disease or something?
Orange Tree Resort - Need to Understand the Market
Very nice Resort. However, the golf course is in of major assistance. Most of the Tee Boxes are NOT LEVE. And in some cases your tee up with your feet in a hole. Greens - we were warned about two problem greens. Please - the greens, “all of them” suck! Between the patches of sand, no grass, major issues of unrepaired ball marks. How do you expect someone to putt on them? And absolutely “no consistency” of speed. One green rolls at 10, another at a 5. Very disappointing!! Enjoy the track, but with 150+ choices in the Valley, it may be a while before we return. Value for the Dollar - Sorry you are not competitive to the market in your current condition.
Course mismanagement
The greens were the awful shape. At the height of golf season and for what they are charging playing that late in the day, it was a complete rip off. We were actually told to skip a few greens because of how bad they were. Pathetic course management. They should be discounting or charging summer fees because those greens were a joke.
Average At Best
This course used to be better taken care of. It's clearly gone down hill. Fairways and Greens are not in good shape.
Not worth the price
I usually enjoy the course but the greens were terrible. Bare, bald and in serious need of some TLC. Pace was slow on the front but got better. Hate giving bad reviews
Not perfect yet
Some greens need work & time to heal.
Otherwise in good shape.
The Great Disappointed
We expected a much better course based on the website and price point. The curb appeal, pro shop, and restaurant were all promising. The practice area was a little sketchy, with many people practicing in close proximity, and some people using a driver practicing ahead of players using the mats. Up until then, things looked promising. The Pro Shop mentioned that we were playing at a "discounted" rate because of two questionable greens that were having overseeding issues. In reality, almost EVERY green had huge problems! And although that was the most noticeable disappointment, the disrepair was extensive from the tee-box to the green. The issues are related to poor greenskeeping, lack of ongoing investment, and shoddy management. I recommend avoiding this course for the coming couple of years because it'll take that long to get it back into shape, especially at the price point they're charging.
Worst condition in years
Unplayable greens on every other hole. Almost every green had dirt on it / around the pin.
No course condition notice until I already paid and checked out in, starter said there is “1 or 2 holes not up to our standards”.
He should have said there is 1 or 2 holes up to our standards.
No excuse to hide this information from your customers when you pay a premium rate for a diseased greens.
Poor shape for the money, very disappointed.
The course had a lot of greens in rough shape. I expected way more for $138 greens fee. Wow, it was knocked down to $130 because they were aware of the greens. The staff was nice, cashier, cart caddies, and cart vendor.
Overall good condition, But......
The driving range had mats to hit off. Detest mats.
Many of the greens had large bare spots. Seems like this was the same problem the last time I played here a year ago. Come on, let's get this fixed. Should charge less for a damaged course.
This “resort” needs beautifying
Fairways were in good shape; greens have some kind of disease/ bad shape.
They added gps screens on the carts but the cart was filthy. I had to ask an employee to wipe it down. If this resort wants to be consider a nice place or a real “resort” need to up your game. The rough is spotty no grass in most places.
