DO NOT PLAY
I echo the sentiment of the previous comments. I thought going in I was mentally prepared for the poor course but I really can’t believe how poor this place is maintained. It is a boring straight course with very little excitement. The grass is terrible ALL OVER. Teebox, fairway, rough and greens are all terrible. And you know I love might be able to get over that if the freaking Marshall wasn’t rushing us the ENTIRE course to finish in under 4 hrs, the group behind us was no where in sight and he tried to tell us to play up at the 150 or skip the whole… I told him to go shove it. Normal pace is 4.5 hrs with a full group. This rushing really messed my game up and made it not enjoyable. To think I payed $150 to play a crappy course AND be rushed. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE play somewhere else for a few dollars more .. I can’t begin to tell you how many better courses there are… oh and I almost forgot about how crappy the artificial grass pad at the driving range is. I WILL NEVER PLAY HERE AGAIN.. AND RECOMMEND NO ONE ELSE
The tee boxes were all chopped up. The fairways were furry. Most all the greens had bare spots or erosion on them.
Ouch
The tee boxes were in good shape. Now the rest: greens awful. Fairways average or worse depending on which hole but little effort to remove leaves sticks etc. Cart paths have not been updated in a long time. Definitely not worth a spring premium price. Buyer beware.
Peak season prices, end of season conditions
I’ll be upfront, the greens are trash. More sand and dirt on them, than in the bunkers. No one fixes their pitch/ball marks and overall the price at a ‘resort course’ for the condition is ridiculous.
Great course horrible greens
I've played this course quite a few times over the last 5 years and have always loved it, but hadn't played here in about a year. The greens were absolutely unplayable. All of them. Everything else, fairways and bunkers, amenities, etc etc were great, but the greens are bad enough I will be staying away until I hear they're repaired. Hoping that's sooner than later.
Terrible condition
Course was awful. Terrible fairways. Weeds and awful greens. Will never play again. Can’t imagine they can get it back in shape
The course has potential
The greens were terrible
The pace of play was the slowest of any course I have played
The staff was friendly and efficient
The marshal tried to his best to speed up play but it didn’t seem to help
This was the worst course I played ever.
The green we're the worst I've ever played.
The Clubhouse said there was only 2 greens that were not up to their satisfaction. It was more like fifteen greens.
Orange tree in terrible condition
The greens on this golf course are an absolutely atrocious condition and they should not be charging $100 green fees, and they should be disclosing the terrible conditions to people in advance.
Bad greens
Layout of course was fun, but the greens were terrible, several had more bare spots than grass
Awful greens, overpriced
Have lived in the area for awhile, first time ever playing this course. It is not worth the money. Many courses in the area, especially in the previously accessible price range, are going through this trend of letting their facilities rot, while charging higher and higher prices. It’s absurd. The starter said “we are having trouble with a few greens out there.” They are having trouble with every green, perhaps 2 or 3 were decent enough for play, but every other one is covered in entire areas of sand/dirt from previous infection and/or poor maintenance practices. Tees are okay, fairways are shaggy, the bunkers were decent, pace of play was good, and the staff was very kind. It was a wonderful day, but playing on conditions like that is not golf.
Over priced for conditions
Greens were in really bad condition - I’ll note that the pro shop mentioned at checked in that two greens were not up to their standards. My opinion is that All greens are not up to standards with conditions from fair to poor to awful. Having said that- the greens fees need to be at least $40 less to compensate for the conditions on course
Course is getting better and better
I played the course in mid January and the greens were sanded and under maintenance. Even while sanded they still rolled well and the rest of the course was great. I played again march 2nd and the greens are really coming along well. The work they are putting in really shows and i expect everything to keep getting better. The Fairways look great and overall the course is great. This course isn't ment to be TPC. It's ment to be a fun course for anyone to play and they are nailing that. The staff all around the course was friendly. I plan to play here more often. They also have a Starbucks on site which is way cool.
Greens and rough
It started out I was quoted the wrong price over the phone. Got to the course it was a different price! Then the pro shop told us 2 greens were bad, it was 12 greens were really bad! The rough was hard as a rock with no grass or very little. Some tee boxes were bad as well! Not worth the money, at all! I’ve played there every time I’ve been in town so I invited 2 friends, they won’t go back, I was embarrassed to bring them there. They should be charging $50 per round!!!
Greens are unplayable
Nowhere does it say greens are horrible and unplayable - not here on golfnow or on their website
They are scamming golfers by not being transient - lying basically and overcharging on top of everything
I am requesting a full refund from Golfnow
Pathetic mgmt of course to let this lie happen
