Could be a really good course
Unfortunately the greens were in horribly ill repair
Dalep
Let’s start with I can’t believe they are changing full price the driving range had 0 grass on the tee area and that was the introduction. Tee boxes were beat up and uneven, there were several green with large dead areas to putt through. Fairways were decent but no better than other less expensive courses in the area. Layout is forgiving with lots of room to wander. Would wait till conditions improve to play again.
Needs lots of work
Greens are in rough shape and fairways were mostly hardpan, not a good value for the cost.
Improvements needed
While I have really enjoyed this course in the past, it is in terrible shape. They mentioned the winter maintenance and care was mis-managed. It was a nice gesture to give us a 10% discount on the rate and a free small bucket of range balls but I would say buyer beware. Even if they offered a free round instead, I would ask if I could use it next year. Greens were in terrible shape. Fairways and tee boxes were not the greatest as well. This is a fun course with some challenging holes and still recommend it, just not now. Hopefully they get this all fixed soon.
The greens were in poor condition they appeared to be diseased with 15-20% having no grass.
Lack of rain
The lack of rain really shows. Greens were disappointing, with almost all greens show bare spots, sometimes up to 50%. Fairways are good, but if you’re off, you’re hit off dry dirt. Bunkers are in excellent condition
$40 cheaper this would have been okay
The greens are bad. Very bad. Charging $100 for a round is actually atrocious. I can understand their summer conditions, but even in the summer they have better pricing in comparison to many. Someone looked around at the other nearby courses and knocked $20 off and called it a day.
Got’a repair those greens
Staff was very nice, pace was good, fairways healthy, but greens were really bad still.
I love “The Tree” , but will not be back until I have confirmation greens have been restored.
Terrible greens
So not worth the price I paid, the greens are all spotty, they should definitely lower the price until they get it back to playing condition
Enjoyable golf course.
If you book your Tee times at the Orange Tree resort you will be assured you’re getting the cheapest rate. Double check your rates at GOLFNOW booking when you reserve.
Corse in poor shape
Orange tree is one of our go to courses when we winter in Scottsdale. This is the first time the course was in bad shape. Many of the greens had bald/bare spots. Over watering caused a small pond in front of a par 3. Just disappointing The staff was in fine form as usual.
The greens were in horrible condition!!
It appeared that the fairways and especially the greens had not been taken care of.
Greens have a disease unplayable
These are the worst greens I’ve ever seen in playing golf for 50 years. Nobody said anything before I signed up for the round and then when I got there, they said the greens were pretty bad. But they were not pretty bad. They were awful. They should give people their money back and warn them before that the greens are not potable whatsoever until the disease is fixed.
