Nice course and a cool clubhouse
Some parts of the course were being worked on and the overall pace of play was slower but it’s a nice course with some cool holes.
Orange Tree
Fun course, in good condition for the summer heat. Worth playing with a hot deal.
In better shape than it has been in recently. Still a little overpriced.
Overpriced
I played a better course in the east valley for 25% less.
Its a good track, but not worth $75 in August.
Hot but Fast
Loved the 3 hr round, fairways in good shape considering hot hot and dry it has been. Some greens ideas bunkers under repair, more work needed. Staff is great.
Course condition poor
Fairways sub par. Too many sand traps under repair. Greens were average condition. Poor price value this time of year.
Friendly Staff
Really nice Director of Golf. Cart girls are great. Fun layout. Course conditions are improving.
Not Worth The Money
Orange Tree used to be good, but as the course conditions have slightly declined the prices have sky rocketed. This is not a middle of summer $80 or winter $140 course but that’s what they charged. I the course is basically equal parts dirt and grass and several bunkers are under construction.
Horrible
Fairways were in horrible shape, you're punished for good tee shots since there is NO grass in the fairways. Greens were rolling the same pace if you putted in the sand trap, super sandy and no one fixing pitch marks on the green....we played at 550am so there shouldn't have been many pitch marks. 85 bucks to play this course was a joke, wont be back.
Close to the house
I scheduled this tee time because it was close to the house and my friend was in town. The course was very patchy. Grass in some places on the fairways, but a lot of patches with no grass. The greens were the slowest greens I’ve ever putted on. It’s kind of a goat ranch right now.
Dump
I have played this course for 18 years off and on and I will not return again during the summer time. This course was a dump. Very little grass and greens were SO SANDY.
Bare spots and punched greens
I can understand the punched greens, it's that time of year but many bare spots in the fairways and trees need trimming throughout the course. The $60 fee I paid for playing early should be dropped $10-15 given the shape of the course. The heavy set young man working the desk in the golf shop was not very friendly but the young man cleaning the clubs was nice
Cart girl Nicole is hot.
Course needs work
Have played Orange Tree a bunch. First time since last year. Was soooo disappointed. Fairways, Greens, Sandraps all in really rough shape. Greens were punched and fairways only splotchy with grass. The saving grace for the round was that it was very fast. My partner and I made it around in 3 hours. Not going back for another year. Hopefully, they will get the course back in shape.
Greens and Traps!
The course should warn guests that the greens have been plugged and sanded. Worse than temp greens!
There were signs that traps were being worked on. That's ok.
Course is a mess
Aerated tee boxes, fairways and greens impacts this review. Heavily sanded and punched greens made accurate putting nearly impossible. A lot of fairways are loaded with grassless areas. Not a pleasant round. Support staff, however, was outstanding. Just wish Orange Tree would advise of course conditions before allowing an online booking. Disappointed.
