Quintero Golf Club

About Quintero Golf Club
Quintero Golf Club, located about an hour northwest of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, is one of the most scenic golf courses in the Valley of the Sun. While generally a daily-fee course, it does have a small handful of casita rentals for stay-and-play packages. These casitas, located within the community's Entrada properties, feature two large bedrooms with full bathrooms each, and a private patio with the option for outdoor dining. The executive Loft has a large living a rea with pool table. Guests have access to the Quintero pool, jacuzzi and grilling area. Located in the Hieroglyphic Mountains, Quintero Golf Club was designed by Rees Jones and a popular pick for the best golf course in the valley. Within 15 minutes is the Lake Pleasant Marina and Scorpion Bay Marina.Facts

Hole 9 (I think) Photo submitted by azwilli on 09/27/2012
Beautiful course and well worth the money.
Play here often and never disappointed. Staff keeps course in perfect condition. Covid-19 orders definitely being observed. I feel very safe here. Chad is seriously involved with customer service and wants all players to enjoy their round. Playing here is definitely worth the long trip from home. Nothing like it near me.
GEM
AZ’s hidden gem in my opinion. I can only play this course during the summer as cooler months it’s out of my price range. top notch course.
Absolutely a GEM of a course!
Great greens that roll well and are consistent. Great tee boxes with attention to detail on the landscaping. Educated staff on hospitality and courtesy. Unlike any course experience in AZ.
A+ Golf
An absolute gem! Layout and scenery are picture perfect!
Greens
The purest greens in the whole valley. Literally like putting on a firm pool table!!! Freaking awesome
Worth the Drive and the Money
Took my dad to play Quintero as our 1 “expensive” round a year. It was worth the money for sure. Great course layout. It’s difficult but not so hard that you want to just get it over with by the 13th hole. Whether it actually is or not, it feels 5-10 degrees hotter out there than the temperature says but they have hydration stations for you to get water and ice which is a great touch. They come find you with any food you order which is also great. Definitely worth the drive and money to spend a day out there, especially with a golf enthusiast.
Great Course
Great course. Very fun to play. Would highly recommend it.
Quintero
Sweet Gem of a course! Enjoyed not only the scenery but the challenge the course presented to me. Must play course for Arizona
Unreal conditions this time of year!
I’m an avid golfer and play all around Phoenix year around. This time of year (early July) it’s almost impossible to find true running greens as most courses punch and sand them. I was floored how fast and true they were rolling. Aside from the greens the entire course was in great shape. Incredible views that are matched with some holes you have to put some thought into if you want to score well. The par 3’s are second to none.
Definitely worth the drive!
Awesome trek, both in the top of AZ, as well as USA
I play Quintero every couple weeks. A little pricey, especially with the 110 heat, but I don’t mind since the experience is always awesome.
The staff are some of the best in the business and the ranger is still out moving folks along throughout the round. The conditions are epic. Bring some extra balls, or not, if you don’t mind rooting around in the bushes for a handful of ProV’s, and potential rattler.
If you haven’t played here, and you are a true golfer, you need to make the trip.
Amazing Golf Course
This golf course has a diverse amount of wildlife that is truly something to look at while golfing. This course was fairly easy and very well created!
Beautiful course I want to come back
People came here because they liked it a lot. As they said it was beautiful and cozy course and I loved it because I was able to play quietly and feel the atmosphere of Arizona. This is the course I want to visit again next time.
Beautiful course
The scenery is awesome, the course conditions were not the best. Primarily the bunkers lacked adequate sand.
Quintero
I've been golfing Quintero since it first opened as a private cllub. Even though I live over in North Scottsdale and belong to a golf club there, I still make the trip to Quintero several times a year to play the course. It is one of my favorites in the area.
First time
I had been looking forward to playing Quintero for quite some time after reading all about it and seeing it played on tv by a female golf pro and another player. Did not disappoint. Course was in great shape and the layout is really spectacular. Looking forward to coming back.
Beautiful
The course is absolutely stunning and the best course I’ve played in Az since moving here in ‘06
Views!
This course is one the best public courses you can play. The views and layout are unreal and are fun for all golfers. I highly recommend making a trip up here to see for yourself!
Great Experience
Quintero feels like it is out in the middle of nowhere, probably because there is truth to that. I'd heard good things about Quintero and finally got the chance to play. The course condition was impeccable. There was literally not a blade of grass out of place. The greens had been punched a few weeks previous, but it had no impact on playability, although we were warned that they were playing a bit slower than usual. They were still slippery and fast but putted beautifully.
If you can't drive it straight, bring a spare bag of balls because you may very well need them. Having said that, the fairways tend to have bunkers protecting the edges of the fairways in your landing zone, so that helps keep the white orb on the earth. The bunkers were in perfect condition and it is impossible to get a bad lie on the fairways. As other reviews point out, the par threes are really something, all playing from elevated tees to generous greens. Really beautiful. I played the par threes two under, only because I dropped a couple unlikely putts from way downtown.
Summer rates made it a bargain to play. I will definitely be going back for more!
