About Quintero Golf Club
Quintero Golf Club, located about an hour northwest of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, is one of the most scenic golf courses in the Valley of the Sun. While generally a daily-fee course, it does have a small handful of casita rentals for stay-and-play packages. These casitas, located within the community's Entrada properties, feature two large bedrooms with full bathrooms each, and a private patio with the option for outdoor dining. The executive Loft has a large living a rea with pool table. Guests have access to the Quintero pool, jacuzzi and grilling area. Located in the Hieroglyphic Mountains, Quintero Golf Club was designed by Rees Jones and a popular pick for the best golf course in the valley. Within 15 minutes is the Lake Pleasant Marina and Scorpion Bay Marina.Facts

Simply a Great Course
This is the kind of course you save for a special day. The setting is spectacular, the course is a major challenge for all levels of player, and the fairways and greens are in superior condition despite this being the dead of summer here In Arizona. The par fours are a huge challenge as they are predominantly uphill. With each pushing 400 yards from the silver tees, every shot has to count. Each of the par 3s is a treat. Two involve elevated tees, two involve carrying over water and one is a stretch just to make you hit it pure. This is definitely one of my favorite courses here in Arizona despite being a course that has handed me my lunch on more than one occasion.
Bring Bail Money
seriously great course, Staff is very snooty and manager Chad was worse. After explaining our issue, he decided rather than work to fix the problem it would be easier to deny me the general managers name the first 5 times i asked then decided it would be easier to tell me I am o longer welcome there and he was calling the police. I begged for him to do so but instead closed the door in my face. I'm 51 years old and have played golf most of my life and by far this was the worst experience I've had on a golf course. Do yourself and your friends a favor and skip playing this course
As tough as they come
What. A. Course. Wonderfull greens, spectacular elevation changes, beautiful setting. And hard. Pay attention to the slope/rating for your tees if you aren't looking to beat yourself up all day.
Good course
The course is in good shape for summer. The greens were recently aerated and are almost done healing up. A little bit longer and some water and they'll be fine. Most of the fairways were in very good shape although some of the fairways were wet. The worst one was the hole that goes up the hill. The ball hit the wet fairway and stopped dead. Made the hole a lot longer. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only comment I would make is to the maintenance crews. I realize you have to mow and I do appreciate that you will stop to let the golfers though, but if you are between the golfer and the target you are in the way. Please move to one side or the other.
Great Day
The course is incredible. The par 3's in particular are stunning and the elevation changes and different views around the course are amazing. The food we had while playing was also great and the weather was fabulous. Only complaint was the overall interaction with the staff at the golf course. Upon arrival everything seemed a little rushed and they assumed you had been there before and knew the ropes. Not the friendliest in the world and then they sent you off on your 10 minute golf cart ride up the hill to the driving range. Overall a great day though and would encourage anyone willing to make the 45 minute drive north of Phoenix to do so and play this track.
Absolutely Beautiful!
The staff was great, the course was the finest I’ve ever played.
Must play twice
Play it twice. Once you play it you’ll understand. Worth the drive from Scottsdale/ Phoenix area.
Best desert course for my money. Wish it were closer to home.
Highly recommended.
Gorgeous course but brutally tough. # 8/and 9 outstanding! No Gotta play smarter the next time!
Overrated
I’ve played a lot of great public courses in the Phoenix area and this one doesn’t even make the top 10. Not sure how they got their “top rating“. . Here’s my pros and cons:
Pros - a few nice elevated par 3’s
- decent range and practice greens
Cons - takes about 10 minutes to drive your cart to the range and/or the first tee and carts are pretty slow and dated
- most fairways were pretty brown and not in great shape
- there were hundreds of flies all over the course, there must be livestock nearby because it was horrible
- ordered food and the girl came with no napkins and no change for cash
- the cart guy was really rude when I unintentionally tried to drive my cart to my car and snidely asked me why I didn’t see the small sign stating it wasn’t allowed
- the course was more like a Disney world course with roller coaster rides and long waits.
Great course - well worth the trip
Tremendous course memorable holes carved out of the mountains and canyons. Staff were incredibly friendly.
Fantastic
First time playing. Fantastic course in fantastic condition. Worth the drive from Phoenix. Put it on top if your list to play in AZ!
