Worth The Drive
Our second time playing and the course did not disappoint. Relatively uncrowded and never waited to hit a shot. Very good conditions but saw it in better shape a year ago June. If you live in Phoenix, it's worth the drive to Wickenburg. We came up from Tucson! With all the courses to play in the PHX metro area, we chose LC for our golf weekend line-up.
Los Cab Golf
I have been golfing at Los Cab for about a year. The staff go overboard to create an atmosphere that is very enjoyable. The course and the facilities are kept in beautiful condition. The greens on this course are some of the most difficult I have played.
Rating course and facilities.
Good value for the money. Course conditions were great. Staff and facilities were excellent.
Great scenery if you can take your mind off the challenging golf
Course not as lush as I recalled it from driving by.
Otherwise, it is a great challenge
Reasonably wide fairways with some very difficult placement requirements given the many fairway bunkers. Also, a few blind shots that make it very tough on first time players of this course.
While some par 4's are not terribly long, many are uphill and to elevated and well-guarded greens.
Some of the greens, all of which were in very good condition), are ridged (deceptive tiers) to add to the challenge.
We played at noon and never saw anyone until we were putting out on #18. Like having a private course.
Definitely worth another play.
enjoyed the course
First time to this course, had a good day. Pace of play, course layout was good, we thought the staff were very friendly and helpful. thanks we will be back
Better Bring Your "A" Game
The course is far removed from the Valley of the Sun, but worth the trip. Tucked on the west side of Wickenburg, you wouldn't think there would be such a premier course. Nevertheless, it is a very high-end course. The course is very well maintained and the greens a consistently fast and challenging. The course also plays long so if you are not driving well (as was my case), you are going to be playing fairway woods and hybrids for most of your second shots. The only thing that brings this course up short of being truly special is the surrounding homes. Most are fairly standard suburbia. When I have a leisurely afternoon again, I'll make the hour long trip to play this course again.
fairways are in poor conidition as the new turf is still growing
Fair ways are in poor conditions.Course is friendly, this course should not be advertise 5 must play courses in Arizona.
GREAT DAY
The weather was wonderful and the couurse ws in great shape. The sand traps were still packed because of recent rains, but golf was great and finished in 3 1/2 hours.
good golf course
Right after seeding the course was slow. However condition was very good and we enjoyed playing. We will play there again and I will recommend it to my friends as I already have.
Great early season golf
Course is in great condition. Overseed is well ahead of Phoenix courses.
Beautiful Setting
We love to play the course. It was in great condition.
We played in just less of 4 hrs. It is out in the country and easy to get to.
Seeking Scratch
We were treated so very well from the first point of contact. Extremely courteous staff in pro shop introduced us to course gave sound advice on how the course played (need extra club to elevated greens and plays longer overall than what is posted on card) Staff kept us informed even walked out to us to update us while we were on driving range Fairways in excellent shape. Low handicappers would like this one - you need to plan your way around this track to get a score and that is golf as it should be.. Held up a bit on a few holes but just over 4:15 to get through 18 - not bad at all. Streamlining food/beverage 9 to 10 would be an opportunity to be better to keep flow going.
Can't wait to go back
Perfect day, from the first tee, to lunch and a drink at the end. The course, the weather, the staff, we could not have had a better time.
Dr. Vestal
A well designed course in nice condition.
Wickenburg AZ isn't really where you expect to find high quality golf courses, it's a sleepy little horse town with a rich old west history. AND....you would be wrong.....!! Los Caballeros is a course that has been around for a long time...the 70's in fact. Most courses this age have issues...to say the least. Los Caballeros defies this in every way. The clubhouse is filled with old west charm. The practice facilities, while not overly fancy are very well kept. The course itself has a timeless design that will give you great views, challenging holes and quality playing conditions. I will put this course against the Scottsdale courses any day.
Always a treat to play
If you haven't made your way to Los Caballeros, you owe it to yourself to play there. A fun golf course to play with a variety of holes, changes of elevation and nice views. Course had just reopened for platy after overseeding so the greens were slow and the rough and fairways a bit shaggy nonetheless very enjoyable. less than an hour away from the West valley, well worth the drive.
One of the nicest courses around!
This is the second time we have played the course and loved it even more. From the moment we arrived the staff took excellent care of us! From the young, friendly pro shop staff to the ladies in the restaurant, we were treated so much better than the Troon courses we have played. These people care! The course itself was just overseeded so it was in excellent condition, but the grass and greens were a little long, but that was to be expected. The surroundings are absolutely lovely, and the course possesses enough challenge for golfers of all levels. Definitely a must play!!
I tried it
Greens looked beautiful but were so slow as to be un-puttable for someone who is a lag putter.
Lengths of the last few holes were a little ridiculous for a 6600 yd track.
Not really a fan...

Played a few days after they received 5.5 inches of rain in ONE HOUR. The course was still very wet but playable. Greens were perfect. Many elevated greens so walking the hills from the cartpaths in 105 degree temps and high for PHX humidity made it a challenge.
Food at the bar was excellent with wonderful service.
Will be back many times in the future. Summer green fee prices are excellent.
This GC is in excellent shape
Probably one of the best values in the area. Great conditions and the $39 green fee included lunch after the round. Great food too
Great course
Well worth the drive from Phoenix. Course was in excellent shape and the staff were very helpful.
