Greens were not in good shape, minimal yard markers, bnot worth the.money, even for March golf.
LosLos Caballeros Golf Club Review
Great golf course, excellent condition. It well worth the money. Very nice and pleasant staff. Good food service. Staff was helpful in cleaning clubs, being helpful I drove from Scottsdale, AZ and this course is well worth the drive
Scenic views
Some great views, great pace four hour round.
Elevated greens were a problem for our wives.
Worth the trip.
The staff in the restaurant and pro-shop are extremely courteous and professional.
This was our first, but certainly not our last time, playing here. We had lunch in the restaurant and the food and the staff were great. The members in the pro shop were courteous and very helpful, even trying to help me put the course on my skycaddie, which wasn't successful but not due to them. The course is beautiful, the greens great and the sand traps have good sand (unfortunately I tested it several times). I highly recommend this course as one of the true gems of the Western Phoenix area.
Beautiful Course
We played Los Caballeros over the weekend and it was a great experience. Staff was extremely cordial and helpful. They offer free, all you can hit range balls to warm up and putting green and chipping area are in great condition. Course offers multiple tees to choose from and there is more than one ball washer per tee box. Fairways are in great condition and are fairly wide to accommodate a few mis hits. Bunkers actually have sand in them!!! Greens were a little hard so most approach shots didn’t hold so well and we would get additional roll out than planned. I had trouble reading my putts as the greens did have significant break and are super-fast. Plenty of elevation changes that featured mostly down hill holes and some uphill greens as well. Pace of play was spectacular! There was a group a hole in front of us that never slowed us down and a group a hole behind us that we didn’t slow down even with stopping to take pictures and enjoy the scenery that this course offers. All in all, I would definitely recommend this course to anyone and yes, the hour drive from Phoenix was definitely worth it.
An experience to remember
The golf course was in perfect condition, but as a golf course it is not exceptional. The fairways are wide, there is little hazards, and course is forgiving. The greens are elevated and fast. There is poa in some making them rough in places. This being said it is a wonderful experience to play where there is no traffic noise, wonderful views, and the feeling you are blessed to be in such a place. We went for golf, but it would be a place to stay ride horses, do golf, and enjoy life
Beautiful golf course
This course was just beautiful and so well maintained. I love the fountains on a few of the holes. What I loved the most was the ball washers at the WOMEN's tees, you never see that.
It also was a beautiful day that made it all worthwhile. I would recommend to all of our friends here and visiting from MN. As a matter of fact I already have.
Hidden Gem
My friend and I constantly play in the Phoenix area but decided to change it up and make the drive to Wickenburg to play Los Cabellaros. All I can say is that it was well worth the drive. Let me first start off by mentioning that this place had the best course conditions I have seen in Arizona. You can tell they do a good job watering the course, I must tip my cap to the gentlemen that work the grounds, as every single tee box, fairway, and green was nicely manicured. Every single fairway lie was perfect and was as if the ball was floating on air, unlike Phoenix golf where it is mostly hardpan and dry. I loved the course layout of this place, every hole has a unique identity and the views were excellent, especially on the back nine. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant was good as well. I especially enjoyed being able to hit as many balls as I wanted to on the range, as I have been making several swing adjustments and needed to get in the work. However, my favorite part of the round was the pace of play. I like that they do not overly pack people on to the course like all the other Phoenix courses especially this time of year. As we were only a two-some, we ran into a couple of four-somes who graciously let us play through, allowing us to finish in a little over 3 hours. I will definitely be returning here in the future, and will recommend to all of my friends.
Los Cabs
Great conditions both weather and course. Good shots required to gather pars. Good views throughout the course. Very enjoyable and will go back again.
Great golf course.
Watch out for the obstacles in the fairways on some holes. Use one more club on many of your shots. Greens are elevated with false fronts.
Worth thectrip
Outstanding coutse conditions. First time playing this course. Greens are true, but very quick. Hole placement was exceptionally challenging during my visit. Highly recommended. Great staff!
Los Caballeros Review
The course was in fairly good condition. It has several interesting holes and some good views. At $54 it was good value. I don't believe it would be good value at $99 which is what I see it advertised for quite often.
worth the drive
great views, wide fairways, plenty of trouble to get into. we agreed this is a course to play again
Cool sight
If you time it right, there is a nearby horse ranch and they cross between holes. I was a beautiful sight to see.
Great course and staff
Friendly staff, great course design and conditions. Will definitely return!
Course was in excellent shape
We were paired up with two single guys and we played 18 holes in 3.5 hours. The course was in very good condition and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Friendly course
Each time we play enjoy the overall golf experience.
Nice
I enjoyed the course. Ordering the food on the 9th hole took a little bit of time so it pushed us back behind a 3 some. Overall good experience.
great course
this is my favorite course in the area. the course, staff, food and everything else is top notch.
Beautiful location.
This course is worth the drive.[easy drive from Phoenix] Its a great layout. I played the tips and my wife played the forwards and it worked out great. Excellent range with balls included. Had lunch and it was fantastic with very nice staff. This course should be on your must play list. The only thing they should allow walking. We will play it again for sure.
