Great course in great condition
Course was in great condition, staff was very friendly, tee time was on time with proper spacing between tee times. The couple that had joined us, this was there first time playing the course. They very much enjoyed their round. Well worth the drive. Will return to play again.
sleeper course
With all the good courses in the Phoenix area, this compares or is better than most. Well worth the drive.
Beautiful area and course. Very friendly staff. Will try to make this a part of each trip to Arizona.
A GOOD COURSE
The drive through Wickenburg is quaint which makes Los Caballeros even more charming. Clubhouse architecture is OLD WEST which adds to the overall ambiance. The course itself is in transition from summer to winter play and, as a result, the rough was long, thick and wickedly brutal. Although the fairways look open from the tee boxes, you must stay on them during this time of the season. It is a challenge but a good one just the same. Sand traps were in excellent condition. The greens were somewhat soft and slow but that should improve shortly. Lastly, the course seems to play a bit longer than the indicated yardage. The clubhouse menu is excellent and the service staff first class. You won't have second thoughts about tipping generously here.
Just Perfect
The facility had just been open for a week, but it was perfect. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The lunch was super good. I would go back in a heart beat.
Los Cab
This course is always in very good condition. It is also very challenging. Even though it's about a ninety minute drive we play it about 6-8 times a year. The food is great also. If it were closer we would play it more often.
Good bang for your buck
Greens were a little slow, ( due to opening after reseeding ) give them a week and they will be great.
Awesome experience.
Rough was rough and easy to find if you strayed from fairway by a few yards. Greens slow, but expected after overseed.
Course conditions
Just 6 days after over-seeding, allowed 90 degree rule to drive to your ball. I have played here many times since
1982, and have always enjoyed the views, outstanding course conditions, the food and the value....
Just $39 per player for golf, range balls, cart and food off the lunch menu...!!!!!!! A " must play" if you are anywhere
near the Arizona area !
beautiful course and surroundings
This was an amazing deal. It is one of the nicest golf courses we have played. The grass was too long in the ruff, the fairways and the greens, but that is to be expected when reopening after overseed . We are looking forward to playing there again.
caballero
Excellent course
great staff
very good practice facility
Wonderful
Great rural area course. You will enjoy the experience
GreaT course and value.
Terrific value at $39 for golf with a cart and lunch, which was delicious.
Los caballeros
Course was in really good shape. But the greens were really slow and bumpy because they have not been cut and rolled since the over seeding ....
Outstanding staff
Good value, food can't be topped. Staff excellent
Will return at first opportunity
A perfect outing
When we golfers set out on an outing with friends we are seeking fun, friendship, competition, and relaxation. All of those came together at Los Caballeros. We were greeted by the friendly staff who cared for us in a efficient but extremely courteous manner. Every aspect of our check-in was perfect. Warming up on the range and practice green was just as easy and afforded us the opportunity to prepare for our round. Once the round began -the serious business- we were treated to spectacular vistas and the joy of a well groomed course. The course is fair and offers a range of tees to match your skill level and handicap. We were awed by the spectacular desert views and the beauty of Los Caballeros. Number 8 is a perfect example with the water protecting the green and the fountain. Beautiful. After our round we enjoyed a light lunch on the patio. Throughout our visit the entire staff was fabulous. I can't recommend this track highly enough. You have to play it - then play it again and again! We will!
Lovely scenery, very enjoyable experience
While they were getting ready for overseed, we thoroughly enjoyed our round. The course is somewhat challenging, but fair both from the men's and ladies' tees. The staff was very friendly. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and the pace of play was reasonable with no pressure. We look forward to coming back.
Disappointing
We drove 1 hour to get to this course because the website made it look amazing. It isn't, very average course. Tboxes were mangy, fairways had weeds. What was most disappointing was the way we were treated in the pro shop. According to them what I was wearing was not appropriate, no collar on my sleevless shirt, and my skirt was too short, even though it was below my fingertips and covered 1/2 of my upper leg. If we wanted to play I was forced to buy a new shirt and skirt which cost us $80. There was no signs saying the women's shirt had to be collared, and nothing about the length of the skirts. All that was stated outside the pro shop and in the women's bathroom was that there was no bikini tops or tank tops, neither of which I was wearing. I felt the staff at the pro shop was making their own rules, based on what their members liked or disliked. On top of all that, once we started playing there was a foursome behind us that one of the women had short shorts on, that did not cover 1/4 of her upper leg, yet they were allowed on the course. Bottom line, they need to clearly state their dress code and be consistent with all players. They even sold clothing in the pro shop that according to the staff would not meet their dress code on the course.
Los Caballeros
This course is the best value in the southwest! Course conditions, views and pace of play is fantastic!
Course
Very nice great course worth the hour drive from Phoenix .
Bang for your buck!
Can't beat Los Caballeros is a great value this time of year! Course is in great condition and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
