Wonderful Day
First time playing this track. Great practice facilities. They replace balls regularly. Sometimg the higher price plush clubs don't do in the north valley; they clean your clubs before you go out. They don't crowd the course. My wife and I went out and we were able to play as a twosome, but the couple in front of us asked us to join up. Good thing. This course has uphill par threes and fives, double dogs and some false fronts. The greens are true and fast. Will definitely return for $55.
Elevated greens.
This course has tight fairways and elevated greens. Many blind shots to small uphill greens. The course is in good condition. The staff is friendly. Beautiful setting
Gréât desert course
A bit far from Phœnix but it worth it. Very nice condition and gréât facilite freindly people.
Los Caballeros
I like the course very much....great condition, greens roll true and fast, fairways provide good lies. Interesting layout, elevated tees and greens, good sand in the bunkers. Staff were very friendly, the grill has good food. The range, putting green, chipping green and the first and tenth tees are in close proximity to the clubhouse. A very good golf experience and worth the drive from Phoenix.
great track
Excellent layout, some very pretty desert/golf views.
The greens are not a consistent color but they were quick and interesting to play.
There are a couple of tight spots where you need to pay attention to where other players are at.
I am looking forward to playing there again.
Excelent condition
good layout and in good shape, not crowded, did not wait om tee boxes
nice course great views
took a while to drive to course but worth it...played for $55....4 hour round...great views
Course to play if on your way to Vegas
For: good layout, great views.
Against: Poor condition, greens were a mix some good some patchy which made the greens a bit 2 paced. The fairways were just ok but not has good as the higher tier in Scottsdale. We also had a problem with slow play, and only once we had a moan to the marshal did it get sorted, but to his credit he did sort it.
If you are in the area it's worth playing on deal, but there's better in the valley.
Not worth the drive
Course reminds you if a local municipal golf course, with much better pace of play. With that said, there is no reason to drive 50 miles from Phoenix to play what you could have at any course in Phoenix.
Great golf facility
We're going back. What a great track! What a great facility and staff. Wonderful day of golf.
sweat course
course is in great shape, not really a desert course, lots of room on the fairways, I prefer a little more targeted course, so I used the yucca tree that are on some of the fairways as focus points, many raised greens, check them out for slop before chipping on, they can roll off, nice experience, try it, if you can get a deal.
A hike, but, MAN!!!!
This course usually has a green fee of around $95, but a gap fell in the day and I got on for $55!!! The course is beautiful!!! Not the most challenging out there, but the scenery and the way the course winds through the mountains is what I think you pay for. Don't get me wrong, there are challenges.
I gave the "Food and Beverage" area a "Good" score, not because I ate..........Because the smell coming from the 19th was amazing! The staff was really nice. I talked to Ryan, an Alum from Golf Academy Myrtle Beach and Director of Instruction (I think) and since I am attending Golf Academy, I picked his brain and he took the time to answer my ?'s and then some!!
Great course, great staff, and a great round!!!
I like the course but...
Always had a nice time playing out in Wickenburg. It's a fun course and the back nine has some very challenging holes. It's almost a desert course, but open enough so you don't feel like you're playing target golf. Course is in reasonably good condition but for $100 I would expect to have beverage cart services on the course.
Nice views
Fun , would play again. Liked front nine the best.
Hidden gem
Los Caballeros is an excellent golf course with good scenery and challenging holes.
The greens were nice and fast and in great condition
I enjoyed this course very much and wish it was closer to where I live.
off the best in path...
Fun course to play.. In.good.shape.. I've.seen it.look.better!!!!
Uphill greens play longer
Spotty clumps of grass on many greens. Worse overseed I've seen in 25 years. Very wet. Hard to get to pin, cause of elevation. Such a great course, I would play it many more times.
Be prepared!!!
This course can and will humble low handicappers. You should develop the mindset that you are playing this course for the beautiful vistas and fresh air. If you go thinking you will have the best round in recent memory....prepare for the challenge, stay totally focused and hire a caddy to navigate you through and around the one hundred sand traps and undulating multi-tiered greens. And, if you further choose to complicate your experience, hit from the black tees so that you can wear out your utility clubs.
Great Day
Nice course. Fairways were cut short, so ball really rolled. The back nine is more difficult then the front.
