Palm Course - McCormick Ranch Photo submitted by tainge on 03/29/2013
Condition good
The day was enjoyable as course in good shape for this time of season although still cart path only Was able to easily play 18 although started after 1 pm Forgiving wide open course as we played front nine holes on each course Greens were not fast
Friendly staff but condition of the course is awful. Over watered, pothole filled cart paths, sewage small by standing water
Slow play
We played at 2pm and the pace of play was very slow. Course condition was great but some of the golfers playing left a lot to be desired. Heavily drinking playing very loud music and playing very slowly. We had to stop at 13th as pace was so slow. If playing would recommend the morning.
Nice Course
Fairways and greens are great. Bunkers are terrible.
First time
Wide open fairways so Bombers may enjoy it otherwise everything else is average and not worth $140.
Nice course
Had a good time. Played in 3:45. Will play there again.
Mccormick Ranch
Had an excellent time. Course was in great condition and fairly challenging. Late afternoon tee time and was able to finish before dark.
What a joke
Went with my dad and brother. They said I needed to pay $35 otherwise I had to ride with the other solo in the same cart. Went to pay and it was $50 for a cart. WHAT A JOKE!! They had PLENTY of carts open too lol. What are they charging me $50 for...the outlit for the cart? I mean really? Course was in good shape, cart girls were amazing, but will not be golfing/recommending anyone back to here for that simple reason. I'm 26 years old who is paying $110 to begin with and to be charged with $50 to ride in my own cart, rather than with a random older guy who wouldn't want to ride with me or anyone to begin with, is crazy.
Fun course
I had a blast here. A little expensive for just overfeeding staff was friendly.
Not worth the price
Upon arrival was told we would play the front of Pines and back of Palms. No problem. Course layout was fun and a good variety of holes. Greens were in pretty good condition with only 1 or 2 having spots that were burned out or no grass (at the end of a very hot summer, I get it). Pins were positioned away from these spots and they did not really affect play. There were however multiple holes with standing water (6-7 bunkers full of water) as well as multiple collars and green areas that were in very poor condition. Also, with 18 holes closed, couldn't figure out why they were digging up a part of 3 green that we had to play around (multiple people working while we played the hole).
I've played plenty of desert golf. This course was in the condition of somewhere I'm used to paying $60-70 for, not over 100. Overall fun course but conditions didn't meet price in my opinion.
