Palm Course - McCormick Ranch Photo submitted by tainge on 03/29/2013
Cart path only. Muddy and wet.
Course conditions were poor. So much goose poop cause a lot of water! Would not play again!
Nice course
McCormick Ranch is a very nice property. It wasn't at its best due to the recent rain. Even though it was wet and there was a good deal of casual water in places the course held up well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food service in the restaurant was very accommodating. I found it to be a nice place to play and I'm sure it would be great on a nicer day.
Course in terrible condition
Poor overseed, limited to no watering, extremely dry, spray painted fairways to attempt to make it look ok. Will never play again
Trip to Scottsdale
I booked the tee time through Golfnow. The one thing I was not aware of was that we were the first group, 2 of us, behind an outing that was a scramble format. Play was extremely slow. Our tee time was at 1pm and I was concerned about finishing before dark.
The golf staff came to us on the 9th hole and corrected the issue by moving us to the front 9 of the Palm course to complete our round. This was great. We played pretty quickly, no one in front of us and the group behind us was at least one hole behind. Great management of handling an issue.
Good Course
Staff was great, course was in very good shape and the layout also good.
Pace of play was a little slow but not horrible
Definitely will play again.
McCormick Palm
So we teed off the first 2 holes we were moving then grid lock. We started at 12pn and finished at 5:40pm. We could not believe this. I recommend that if you are going to play their Don't play on the weekend do it during the week.
We waited 6 min on every hole. My 4 some will never play their on the weekend ever again. It was a waisted Saturday and $178 Dollars.
Great job to the crew
Had an overall great time. Started on the palm course, but were slowed down by the std group of “we can hit it a mile, but just never anywhere near the fairway” guys. 2 1/2 hrs for 9. At the turn the starter came up and asked if we wanted to switch to the pine course. He is our hero! Finished 9 on pine in less than 1 1/2 hrs, and caught a fabulous sunset.
Greens were fast. Fairways in great shape.
Great course for the price
Staff were very friendly, greens and fairways were in great condition. Rough was a little beat up. Pace of play was awesome. Will definitely be coming back soon.
Fair to average course. Greens were not true and burnt. Value for money was low.
