Palm Course - McCormick Ranch Photo submitted by tainge on 03/29/2013
Awesome Course
It was a wonderful day. The weather was perfect, the pace of play, was perfect, and the course conditions were great!! The lake is so beautiful and creates some challenges for play. LOVE this place!! The Chart House next door makes a great ending to a perfect day!!
Just OK
Or my favorite course. Layout is nice. Maintenance is lacking
Great course
Fun challenging course. The Island green number one handicap hole requires strategy and skill which unfortunately I didn’t employ. Greens are fast but fair. Would definitely come back again.
Pond Course
They said lots of water. They were not kidding. Great course and challenging but had a great time. Course is beautiful and very well maintained.
It had rained so not good
Maybe my review would be different but had actually rain night before so made the course waterlogged. The staff were more interested in what was on their phones then customers and bag area was unattended, over all course nice track but super fast greens more so than other course we played in the 2 weeks we were there and everyone of the holes were on the spine of the greens. Maybe to protect because of wetness and cart path only made for a very long day .
First timer
Everyone was super nice. Starter was very very nice and accommodating. Course was in great shape - windy with great-fast true greens. A lot of fun!!
1st round of the year.
Staff was great. Nice day, but the night before there was a big rainstorm, so it was cart path only. Greens were still pretty quick and we were lucky enough to play with all the rain. So all in all with all things considered had a lot of fun.
Just ok.
Lots of wet spots lots of dead grass. Their maintenance is lacking
1st time playing - would not go back.
1st time here - Palm course.
Excellent location.
Place is very busy.
Booking in was weird - I you tee off regularly - for the 1st time my reservation at the course was 1 hour later in their system than my booking - thankfully I got on at my anticipated time though for the same price.
Pro shop - acceptable check in at best which is fine.
Driving range - busy place given 2 courses were both packed - perfect location - no tees on the mats for driver which is understandable - otherwise it is perfect and included in the green fee.
Pitching area is also perfect.
Putting green for Palm course is also perfect.
Windy when we played so it affects your game - I never hold this against the course - not their fault.
Front 9 - not my favourite. A couple of the greens certainly have a crazy slope, especially if you are above the hole - but most of the greens are fine. Water certainly comes into play. Not a lot of definition on the front - super wide open space and with the wind it was tough. Ball can easily role into the water.
Back 9 - I really liked it! Lots of definition with houses and the trees. In a perfect world I would play the back 9 twice.
We teed off at 307 and got 16 holes in which was appreciated.
I personally would not pay more than $75 but 200 people that day gladly paid $200 with tax so good for them.
Glad I played once but will not be back.
