New staff
The staff here from the pro shop to the starter are miserable.
Great Coore Crenshaw
Playable and fun - conditions really nice. Walkable. Great range. Not cheap at peak times, but as good as their We-Ko-Pa course.
Actually played the other course
I actually played the other course. The weather was cool, with a little wind. The course is immaculate; the best fairway grass I have played in some time. Greens were very firm, and did not hold anything over a seven iron. Greens putted extremely well.
The service from start to finish is top notch. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone who enjoys high end resort golf.
March is pricy in Phoenix
Course is in great condition, hats off to the maintenance staff. Resort course with larger than desert courses usually provide. Greens have subtle undulations . Course lacks a signature hole and par 3s lack any real excitement. March is expensive throughout the valley.
Solid course
Overall a very good course. The bag drop off and staff were courteous. Range balls and cart are included in the price. Range conditions were a little off likely due to the sheer volume but could use more grass growth. Starters were friendly and informative. We were initially called to the tee box about 10 min early which was fine with us but the other twosome we were paired with were running late so the starter had us wait for them, and we teed off a few minutes late. No biggie for us. It was nice the starter held off to get them on the course. I enjoyed the layout. Not a big fan of the greens as it relates to putting (maybe because I’m a terrible putter) but pin placement was fair. My biggest complaint was only seeing the cart girl once on the front and once on the back which is a minor inconvenience. Round took about 4:15 min which is good. Only waited on the par 3s with one group ahead of us, no backups. Saw the marshall once on the front and once on the back but no reason for them to be more visible. Tee boxes were in good shape. Fairways were fine. Green conditions were solid also. GOLFNOW saved us $50 per person so it was a good value otherwise I may not go again built the price drops for the summer. I’d definitely play again.
Very nice course
We loved the layout and conditions of the course, staff was friendly and accommodating. We played early afternoon and the range was out of golf balls so we had to wait a bit to warm up. Pace of was very slow, 5 hours plus and we found ourselves scrambling to get to the airport.
Rude employees, no marshal
The course was in fair condition but except for two, the young men working the carts were incredibly rude. And there are no marshals on the course so the pace of play was incredibly slow. When we gave up and drove ahead to leave from the 14th we found a foursome 2 groups ahead of us had everyone backed up and no one— I mean No One in front of them. I will never go back here.
Not what I was hoping for
A pretty decent layout with some great holes...just way over priced for what we got.
Great course, fair experience
It’s hard to fault the course or course personnel because the course was great, challenging and interesting. However, our experience was diminished by a large group of other golfers who were enjoying a bachelor party while golfing. The closeness of the tees and greens made the issue even worse. Marshals should have done a better job of managing that situation.
