Talking Stick Golf Club - Piipaash Course

The cost of golf here and Phoenix in General is “Hoghway Robbery”. But we are amongst those that are stupid enough to pay what clubs are asking for. Actually on this day we payed $110 which is fair value for the layout and condition of this golf course. I’m seeing green fees over $260 for this place on Golf Now. Absolutely ridiculous.

The layout is just ok and the conditions are just ok. I guarantee you that the people making the money and running the place know that they are taking advantage of the fools willing to pay such a price for golf here.

We called Talking Stick in AM to book a mid afternoon tee time. From the onset the play was slow and we could see that there was a group on every hole. Ranger seemed to ignore this dilemma. Only communication we received from ranger was to insure cart was returned by 535 PM before darkness fell.

Halfway house was closed by time we reached in spite of starters representation that it would be open.

Course was in great shape but hard to enjoy when you had to wait to hit every shot. I believe the course was oversold and our experience could have been prevented

Great round on the Piipash course. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Course was perfectly maintained - greens rolling nicely, bunkers in great shape, fairways perfectly manicured. The only downside is a somewhat flat layout and lack of variation among holes. Neither takes away from the enjoyment of the round. I will be back 100%!

This was our first time playing here, we played the Piipaash course. The staff was extremely friendly and the course was in great condition, maybe the best I’ve ever played.

I really liked the layout and it is surrounded byi some great natural terrain and the course was beautiful.

I try to play many different courses but this is one I’d love to come back and play.

Always enjoy playing here but with the amount of rain it was cart path only and the fairways were pretty sloppy, course should have reduced the green fees to reflect the overall course conditions.

Great course. Nice wide fairways. Pretty flat good for me who is a beginner golfer.

Golfers should be made aware of (cartpath only) restriction when they attempt to schedule their tee time, Not after they arrive and begin to tee off😳 this makes it really tough for the senior golfer.

Course was nice, didn’t say cart path only when booking, pace very slow and golf cart died twice and wasn’t even offered apology or partial refund

Course was in good condition considering rain previous week . Pace of play was slower than usual with a group of eight in 2 groups ahead including some social golfers .

Ranger checked in on first few holes in front nine then never saw him

Greens in good condition but bunkers solid after rain

Was never told practice area was closed. Never got a email that it would closed. I always get there 1 hour early to loosen up and hit some balls and putt to get speed of the greens. Was told tough luck go wait at the sandwich shop Won’t play again there Pete

Course was in good condition even at the end of summer. Staff was very friendly in the shop and on the course.

Second time playing this course and it didn't disappoint. It can be a little challenging from the gold and the greens were not easy to read. Played with another guy and eventually had two singles join us due to the slow play. For the most part the staff was great, though the starter was a little huffy and flustered. Pace of play was slower than usual for my liking, though a marshall was visible. All is all, a great time.
