Booking a single and not pairing up with a 3 some

I had what I thought was a play conversation with Robert. I purchased a single teatime thinking that I was gonna be paired up with at least another person or at least a threesome in regard for pace to play however, that was not the case that’s not a problem however when I politely asked About going and being paired up with a person that was five holes in front of me, there was a single Robert was extremely rude and antagonistic towards me and I didn’t appreciate it. It was having a simple conversation with him and I had to remind him that it was exactly that just a simple conversation. Why can’t you just put me up with a single it’s five holes ahead. I don’t care just wanna play without having to wait behind back to back forces anyway well that said I won’t be back.

Great place to play in Scottsdale!

Wonderful course lady friendly. It’s expensive but worth it. Better than most courses in Scottsdale!

Great property, fun course

Great amenities, great layout and conditions. The greens are fast! A lot of roll out on any chip/pitch. The only negative was pace of play. Over 2.5 hours on back nine. Lots of waiting.

Best views around

Had the course to ourselves on a Friday afternoon (due to a 9 and dine starting soon after us) until the back to back par 3s. Then waited for rest of round but still finished in 4 1/2 hours. Cant get enough of the views on every hole. Prettiest course in North Scottsdale. Just bring lots of golf balls!

Love it!

The facilities are fantastic! Played the South course. Great layout, in very good condition, with spectacular views of rock formations all around. Large range with nice grass and plenty of balls. Separate chipping & putting greens. 1st time playing here. The greens are very firm, bent grass. Hard to adjust to, based on other courses I played recently in the Scottsdale area. Very challenging holes with some blind shots. I hope to play this again, as I'll be more prepared for shot selection and greens.

played the south because that is the only option - some genius in management decided there would be no more alternative course offerings and people are not happy.

Huge Disappointment

I used to love this property but unfortunately it is in horrible shape. The greens are painted, not over seeded like most courses in the area.. I would be ok with the painted greens if the surface was smooth and in good shape. They were not. The starter was almost embarrassed to try to explain what happened with the greens. His explanation didn’t make sense. Ok, so they totally lost the greens and had to paint them. You would expect the rates to be in line with the course quality. Nope!! $476 per person including taxes. I would not have paid $100 to play this course had I known the condition. If I could give zeros, I would have. Play another course. Period!

Beautiful course

Great course. Very difficult with tight faiways and same greens.. Greens are fast and the views are awesome. The greens were not in the best conditions as they had mixed grasses growing on them which caused the ball to play plinkco due to them being so fast. The ball would get knocked offline when it would hit a patch of the different grass. Would not pay full price because of this. Once they fix that, I would recommend for sure.

Boulders South Challenging

This is a very unique and difficult course to play. While I didn't lose any balls, the fellows I played with lost many. You must be pretty target accurate. I actually got lost as to where I was on the course as it weaves and wanders around the boulders. So beautiful and interesting but not easy to score well. The one thing that was really disappointing was the condition of the greens. Apparently they didn't treat the cauliflower type grass early enough and so the putting became very frustrating and tough to stay on your line. I am sure over the next few weeks it will get better but yesterday wasn't fun to putt.

Challenging layout

Everything was great except the condition of the greens. They were patchy and the ball didn’t roll on line.

Could be the most scenic golf course in the world. Definitely a challenging one. The waste areas are thick with bush and cacti so keep it on the grass or bring a few extra balls if you spray it everywhere like me lol. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Service is excellent. Drink and food prices a bit on the high side compared to other courses we played with similar green fees, but not something I would really complain about considering the surroundings. We played the south course, which unfortunately does not have a halfway house, but the beverage cart made it to us 4 times on our round so we didn’t have to go without anything. Pace of play was average, 4:10 for us, and we are slow with two ladies and myself all being higher handicap golfers, we still had to wait at a couple tee boxes. This was also not a complaint for us as it was only a one shot wait. Some faster golfers might feel differently, but to me 4 hours is a pretty decent pace.

I would come back to Phoenix just to golf here again.

Gorgeous – the archetypal desert resort course

There is something about desert light that hits different, especially late in the year. Better than most, The Boulders South shows it off beautifully. Early holes that play into the rock formations that give the property its name set a very strong tone, and though the later holes are not as overwhelmingly scenic, the whole place is a gorgeous place to play golf.

Spectacular Views

Holes 1-5 at the Boulders South have the best views of any of the Scottsdale golf courses. Course conditions were good as the course was recently overseeded. This is a must play!

Desert Golf at its Best!

Boulders North is a real gem. It's gets overshadowed by the South course but it's actually a better layout. It may not have the spectacular views like the South but the back nine is the best 9 off all the 9s. Great condition and the staff was very helpful.
