First time boulders player

Not my type of course. I like courses with green from tee to green. Every hole required a hit over desert conditions. I had no problem with these conditions but not what I prefer.

South course in very bad shape - do not play

South course fairways poor and greens are in seriour redo and are hard as a rock and impossible to putt. Downhill putts must be running in 20s.

South Course

Played the South Course over Memorial Day weekend. Layout was scenic and challenging. Course was incredibly firm and fast. Greens were rolling at 12 on the stimpmeter according to starter Tony, who was a super helpful guy. Bag drop guy said the South is a good 6-8 shots harder than North, so the South is what you want to play for the value. 10/10 will be back.

Beautiful course with great staff …. However inconsistent course quailty

The greens were very patchy and infested with different grass species.

The boulders is an absolute treat to play with all of its beautiful scenery and in my opinion, is worth the going rate usually charged... USUALLY LOL.

Currently the course isn't worth more than 95$ at peak hours on the weekend... however they are still charging practically TPC prices.

Play Quintero or Dove Valley Ranch instead when prices and quality is in flux at the boulders!

Overpriced

We had a group of 7 from Alberta and were charged $300 each so we had pretty high ecxpectations as this was almost double what we paid out of the 5 rounds we played including TPC. The practice facility was closed the greens were by far the poorest shape the cart lady was no where to be found. Not one of are group will ever come back. You are off the list for next year’s trip.

Great scenery at Boulders

If you want a scenic round of golf, this is the place. Beautiful desert landscape peppered with amazing boulder structures, many right in the line of play. The course itself was narrow desert style, which takes Driver out of your hand on many holes. A few have forced layups or de facto forced layups due to the narrow fairways. In my opinion, your money is better spent at other Scottsdale tracks but you won’t regret playing here. Staff friendly, greens did have a lot of Poa in them and they didn’t always roll that great. Other than the greens course in great shape.

Absolutely Disappointing!!!

When you pay $429 for a round of golf, you ought to at least feel like the ownership is doing their best to maintain the course to a level worthy of the cost. This was incredibly disappointing. The greens are on par with a mediocre small town muni course. The poa and other random grasses on the greens make putting impossible. It’s not a few spots here and there but rather an infestation across all 18 greens. The cups from previous rounds were not flush and typically had large clumps of grass around them. As mentioned in other reviews, the greens are rock hard. You will not be able to hold a wedge shot or check a chip. You would typically be forced to play short and have the ball release to the hole. This doesn’t happen as the fairways short of the greens are very soft and don’t release. The fairways are browning out and have various grasses growing through similar to what cheap muni courses offer. It’s as much of an eyesore as it is frustrating to play out of. Several tee boxes have minimal grass as well. Finally, pace of play was 5.5 hours. We got to know the group in front of us as we met on each tee box. There was nothing about our day that was remotely satisfying. Boulders - you can do much better. It this is the new quality of Scottsdale golf, Palm Springs is the place to go.
