While The Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Scottsdale and Stonecreek Golf Club do not market themselves together as a golf resort, the course is just steps away from the front lobby. Guests may enjoy rooms and suites overlooking the course, which also deliver in space and comfort. A complimentary breakfast buffet and free drinks at happy hour in the hotel lounge are additional amenities available, not to mention an outdoor pool. The hotel is within 6 miles of hiking trails at Camelback Mountain and is conveniently located near a large outdoor shopping mall as well as minutes from Scottsdale Airport and 60 different restaurants. Great day for golf
The course was full of golfers. The staff was friendly and helpful. The course was a little rough in spots but you can tell they are working on cleaning things up. The greens were still bare in spots. Great brat at the turn.

Garbage and dogs
The condition of the fairways and greens was mostly OK but the course doesn't seem to have a plan to deal with all the garbage through the creek areas. The layout is also congested and quirky with blind hazards on multiple holes. Our round was topped off with locals letting their dogs run off-leash on the 18th fairway and green, and the proshop seemed to be OK with that.
jgingrich04, thank you for the review. We are seeing continual improvements every day after our 110+ degree overseed. We are also actively working on cleaning up our course, especially the city wash that runs in the middle of our course. Walkers and dogs on the course are not tolerated here and I will be following up with our team to re-enforce this. Thank you again for the review, and we hope to see you again soon.
Slow play
Course was overbooked. 3 groups visible every hole. Bad experience

Beautiful round today
Service - excellent
Greens - smooth with nice grass
Sand - soft and positioned well
Rough - not well kept / mowed.
Washes - not kept up and cleaned out
Tee boxes- 80% kept up well. A few need attention

Wjreedy, thank you for the review. This year we had some difficult weather during our overseed of 110+ degrees. Every day we are seeing some tremendous growth out on the course, and are excited with how far we have come. We hope to see you again soon!
Really fun course
The course has the potential to be top rated, all it would take is to clean up the garbage in the waste areas. Unsightly and unnecessary. Apart from that and the guy where you get your cart (defensive and grumpy), it was a first class experience. The gentleman in the pro shop was very accommodating as we had mixed up our tee time. Course is in great shape with challenging holes, greens are true, all good. The bar person was friendly and attentive and there is a great games room, pool shuffle board, darts.

Unbelievably slow, no Marshall, gent cleaning the clubs was beyond rude, and we own hospitality businesses. Made us very uncomfortable and left

Fun round after overseeding
We played shortly after overseeding, but the course was in pretty decent shape. Cary path only so that slowed the round a bit but nothing to complain about. Greens were in good shape and generally ran true. This is a nice track, with some interesting holes, would like to come back and play when in prime shape. Good value for money.

Course needs work
They should have kept this course closed for at least another month after reseeding. Patchy grass on the fairways. The rough was super long. Couldn’t find your ball and clumps of grass in the rough. Dirt piles around the greens, which were bumpy. Lots of dry areas and dead grass. They have this thing called water you might to use it to get the course green. Definitely not worth the price. In fact they should pay you to play. Stay away until December maybe then it might be decent. Oh did mention as an added bonus this wonderful course was cart path only. Even though the golf now app said carts were allowed on the course.

When booking on GolfNow, on the booking screen next to where it states 18 hole time and cart included, it also states cart path only. We are actively working through the water restrictions enacted by the city to continue to improve our course. Each day the course is seeing continual improvement. We hope you give us another opportunity down the road.

Stonecreek is awful Course
I booked this course on GolfNow 2 weeks before our holiday to Phoenix. When we arrived at the course I was informed that the had over seeded and carts were not allowed on the grass As a handicapped person this means I had to walk from the cart path to wherever my ball landed. This added thousands of steps to the course and made it very difficult for me to enjoy my game. I was not informed of this by GolfNow or the course when I booked. I played 2 other courses in Phoenix that also over seeded, Talking Stick and Legacy, who gave me a blue flag so I could play. I asked at Stonecreek but they refused. I guess their GRASS is more important than handicapped players.
Other than that the course was in terrible shape. Piles of dead grass on the fairways, garbage, sticks and stones littered everywhere and the greens were half dead.
Very poor conditions for what we paid. Never play there again and GolfNow should delete them from their website.

victim of overseeding
they are overseeding so it was cart path only. Made for a long day, but I was able to get in over 10,000 steps! Only got in 14 holes in 4 hrs
