While The Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Scottsdale and Stonecreek Golf Club do not market themselves together as a golf resort, the course is just steps away from the front lobby. Guests may enjoy rooms and suites overlooking the course, which also deliver in space and comfort. A complimentary breakfast buffet and free drinks at happy hour in the hotel lounge are additional amenities available, not to mention an outdoor pool. The hotel is within 6 miles of hiking trails at Camelback Mountain and is conveniently located near a large outdoor shopping mall as well as minutes from Scottsdale Airport and 60 different restaurants. victim of overseeding
they are overseeding so it was cart path only. Made for a long day, but I was able to get in over 10,000 steps! Only got in 14 holes in 4 hrs
very accomodating
paid for afternoon discount round on line. when we got there a bunch of high schoolers going off the fron....meaning we would likely only get 4 holes in before dark. pro behind desk got us off the back nine and we got 9 holes in no problem. kudos to staff.

Refinished course has potential
This is a fun course that rewards players that can hit their targets. The wash was cleaned out earlier this year and while there is still some cleanup to do (plastic litter) in the wash the rest of the course is nearly finished. Be careful of the sand trap rakes though - my buddy got a splinter from one and I pulled a splinter out a couple weeks ago. It's definitely time for new rakes. Otherwise we enjoyed our round and as a local this is one of my go-to courses.

Great
The course had just opened after oversees and it was a little long in the rough and greens. The fairways were coming along well. Great layout and a beautiful spot in the valley. The lunch was included with a morning time made it excellent! The food was also excellent and the staff was great. Would come back here anytime.

Challenging and Fun
I’m an avid golfer shooting between 81 and 95 most days This was my 2nd time playing Stonecreek. Because they are working on the back 9 we only played the front 9 2x. There were 2 different pin locations for each hole so you can change it up a bit. I was skeptical about playing the front 2x but it was fine. FYI- back is open on the weekends. The tee boxes and fairways were great very neatly manicured and you have to hit over trenches and water by design. The greens were fast and required good reading skills. I highly recommend this course.

Not to be a baby but…
I live down the street from here, and have played a bunch. Since Arics bought the course I have been disappointed by something everytime. Whether it’s way over booked, pace of play is terrible, back 9 or front 9 is closed without knowing so on and so forth. Especially for the premium price during the winter, I know I sounds like a whiney baby but this is a course I won’t play again.

Disappointing…
First time here. Expected to see some form of the pictures I see the course advertises. First, was aware of the aerification alert. Was not aware the Back 9 was closed and I had to play the front 9 twice. Found the course very beat up. Apparently they are doing a major clean up, so bravo. Barely caught someone at the cart check in. No one there when I returned. The gentleman in the Pro Shop was very nice. No beverage cart on the course. The code for the bathroom around #5 or 6 didn’t work to open the Men’s side. Bathrooms near the pro shop were locked. Small storm hit on the second time around and had a river running through #8. The price matched the course. Think I would come back in a couple of years once the work is complete.
ericaasen, thank you for the review. I am glad to see you saw our aerification note, but disappointed to hear about being unaware of playing the same 9 twice. We have that note in the same location as our aerification note so all golfers are aware before booking. Better than it was
I quit playing there due to poor course conditions 2 years ago. Decided to try again. They've really cleaned up the course. However, it was still very wet everywhere. Not flooded like it used to be. But very soggy everywhere. They really need to rethink the watering schedule. I couldn't even hit warm up balls due to sprinklers being on at driving range. They were still on when we finished front nine and were starting back nine. I don't think 2 hours of watering is what was needed.

We have been working hard to improve conditions, and are watering extra while we can to ensure our course remains in good shape in this crazy summer we are having. Great Time!
My wife and I had a great time playing at Silverado, we played there last summer. Great course layout, reasonably challenging holes. Paul, the cart attendant, provided great service, he was very helpful regarding the course and even gave us some great food recommendations in the area. Paul also provided us with great service last summer. Again, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Silverado.
Play this course
The course conditions were great for the weather that’s been hotter than normal and we played earlier before the hot temperatures reached us but had fun even though I was off my game but recovered later. The cart gal was very nice and helpful, friendly and made excellent Bloody Mary that’s worth of trying.

Great time, per usual
Scottsdale is oddly our summer vacation spot, we love the heat! My wife and I have played Stonecreek for the past several summers since we have been vacationing in Scottsdale. Stonecreek’s staff was very friendly and accommodating, course continues to play reasonably challenging but fair, we will definitely continue to play at Stonecreek and will recommend the course to others.
