Guests may enjoy rooms and suites overlooking the course, which also deliver in space and comfort. A complimentary breakfast buffet and free drinks at happy hour in the hotel lounge are additional amenities available, not to mention an outdoor pool. The hotel is within 6 miles of hiking trails at Camelback Mountain and is conveniently located near a large outdoor shopping mall as well as minutes from Scottsdale Airport and 60 different restaurants. At the hot deal price the course is worth it but I wouldn’t pay the full price for this course

Pace Of Play
I will never play this course again. The pace of play was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. Waited on every hole with 3 foursomes on each hole and the par 5s were stupid . I did call the pro shop and they did send someone out but nothing changed. Over 5 hr round and we played ready golf. People playing the tips that had no business there. I considered buying their card for discounted golf but no way. I would not recomend Stone Creek.

Poor course conditions for the money
If it was $25 cheaper per round it would be a good value. Feels more like a Florida course than a desert course. A lot of the grass was burnt out but it’s a good layout with fun holes. Above average rental clubs.

Improved conditions
I used to live on this course and always complained about the sand trap conditions. The traps are so much better now! Also clearing out much of the overgrowth off the fairways improved the playability and scenic views. Had a great time playing this fun layout that offers a mix of fun, interesting, and sometimes challenging holes. Pace of play was also greatly improved, where in the past it had played slower.

Tee box identification was confusing colors hard to identify and most even set up

Course layout
Hazard on 17 of the 18 holes. Very penalizing just not the best designed course with good risk to reward

Great friendly place to pay
My dad and my son came here for a morning 9 holes. We are all beginners and we had a blast on this course. It was early tee time for us and a little wet. That was just due to the recent torrential rains we have been having of late.

Slow, cart path only for entire course, meh customer service personnel
Course just finished overseeing and it's cart path only. Golf course is better off giving push carts vs. golf carts to speed up play. Other than the friendly cart lady, everyone else is reserved and/or not enthused to see golfers arrive at the golf course. For a course that is part of the Arcis Players program, it wasn't a good sign.

I do want to note that your visit was prior to my time here, and since stepping into this role, we have been very focused on improving both the pace of play and the overall guest experience. This includes reinforcing service standards, increasing team engagement, and creating a more welcoming environment from the moment you arrive.
We have also made adjustments operationally during overseed and cart path only periods to better manage flow and set expectations, as we understand how much that can impact the round.
I am glad to hear the beverage cart attendant stood out in a positive way. That is exactly the type of experience we are working to deliver consistently across the entire team.

I now know why it was affordable
Several unkempt greens. Garbage all around from the wash. No one working on cleaning. I thought it was better when I played it several years ago. Oh well. Inside staff snobby, club drop-off guys really nice. $17 for 50 range balls.
Besides overseeding, course in poor shape.
Several signs of trash flooding. Range balls all over first three holes. Rough not cut. Grass clippings all over course. Just not taken care of.
Father daughter outing
Club drop Guy was great.. kid inside at at front desk was a snob. Stunned at $17 for 50 range balls. No ball washers on the course. I understand with the rains, and this being a course along the wash for flotsam and jetsam, but garbage everywhere. Greens were so erratic with conditions, and they are above wash level. Everything here so inconsistent. Wondered where rangers were, when the front 9 was so backed up for 6 groups it was stoopid. 5½ hours on a Wed afternoon in the heat was ridiculous.
